Great room, a must stay

Make sure you stay in the small home. They are so much better then the rooms right next to the hotel.

Excellent Hotel In Great Area For Activities

Posted Jul 24, 2016
We spent 5 days at this hotel over a long weekend, our third visit in all. For the first time we stayed in the bedrooms inside the main hotel, having stayed in the chalets on our previous two visits. The interior rooms are very spacious and the convenience of being able to walk to and from the pool without going outdoors is a huge benefit. If you intend to use the pool a lot, I'd recommend an interior room. The pool was excellent, it is covered and heated and has two bookable jacuzzis. On Saturdays it goes get crowded, but the rest of the days it's very peaceful. The spa was great as well, and best of all they'll collect you from the pool area when your appointment is due. My wife and son both had massages and we had an hour in the hot pool / salt bath that overlooks the waterfall, which I strongly recommend. The restaurant's menu is very good, and they've always got recommendations off the menu as well. It's a short drive to the centre of Valle de Bravo and there's so many things to do there. We did paragliding, motor boating, quad biking amongst others. It's really an excellent place to spend a long weekend or a week.

Great hotel for getting away

Posted Jul 4, 2016
I found the hotel to be great for the price. It had some issues but I was able to overlook them because of the Beauty this place offers. Food was great and made fresh everyday. Service was great and very attentive to our needs. Cabins were nice but did have a musty smell when we walked in. Something that can be fixed with an air freshner or stronger disinfectant.

Fabulous Hotel In Great Location

Posted Apr 3, 2016
Pros: Location, swimming pool, restaurant, tranquility.
Cons: Needs showers & changing area in the pool area for guests staying in the Chalets.
Location: Sailing, powerboats, waterskiing, forest walks, cultural tourism, craft fairs, markets, restaurants, quad bikes, cycling.
The hotel has changed a lot in the 2 years since our previous visit. The swimming pool is now indoors instead of outdoors, they've built an enclosure around it. This has made a huge difference, and now it is open and usable long after sunset. The only thing missing is showers in the enclosed area. The restaurant is as good as ever, both the buffet breakfast and the a-la-carte service later in the day. If you are out in the Chalets the room service is also excellent. At night the view of the waterfall from the restaurant is spectacular with coloured lighting. Valle de Bravo itself is as great as ever, we did some waterskiing and were towed around on an inflatable until we fell off, then spent some cultural time in the town at the markets and craft shops.

Beautiful hotel

Posted Mar 21, 2016
The hotel was great, had a beautiful waterfall and was in a convenient area. Chalet was a bit chilly during our stay but that didn't take away from how nice and clean our stay was. Valle de Bravo is such a beautiful place, well worth it :-)

An oasis of relaxation in nature

Posted Feb 29, 2016 on Hotels
A very tranquil hotel in the middle of nature, with a waterfall and river on the property. Spa service was excellent and the only thing I would improve is the heating in the rooms.

"Still a good stay"

Posted Feb 3, 2016 on Hotels
The room was very cold; they have the mini heating system that uses ethyl alcohol that lasted 3-4 hours but it did not really helped so much to warm the room. The people in the restaurant are very attentive and nice. The food was good when we had dinner when we arrived and the breakfast although not too many options but they have at least 3-4 main dishes which can last you whole morning of tour. It was just a pity that there is no even coffee creamer to go with the coffee and so we have to drink coffee in a very cold night without creamer. The coffee maker was not cleaned very well as when I start to clean it with 1/2 cup of water to heat first there is about 1.5 cup of water that goes out. The faucet spout was also opened that after 1 hour we noticed water on the floors as a result of hand washing. The bellboy/man was very helpful. It will be better to stay in this hotel in the summer time. Parking is free. Internet is slow.

MARIPOSA ADVENTURE!!

WONDERFUL HOTEL. LOOKING AT A WATERFALL OUT OUR WINDOW WAS AMAZING. NICE VIEW TO WAKE UP TO AND FALL ASLEEP TO. THE STAFF SPOKE VERY LITTLE ENGLISH BUT THEY TRIED VERY HARD TO COMMUNICATE. OUR SPANISH WAS JUST OKAY BUT THEY ARRANGED FOR THINGS WE NEEDED. WANTED TO HAVE 3 EXTRA SPOONS FOR ONE DESSERT THAT 4 OF US WERE SHARING AND WE ENDED UP WITH 3 MORE DESSERTS. WE ALL LAUGHED!!

Beautiful hotel

Pros: Beautiful chalet rooms
Cons: Had 2 chalet rooms 1 room toilet didn't work had to call twice before someone fixed it.2nd room there was a leak in the sink not fixed till next day.
This hotel is beautiful but had a few issues with our room. Toilet didn't work had to call 2 times before it was fixed. Other room had a sink leak called twice for towels to dry water off the floor but no one came till the next day. Shampoo was horrible expect a hotel of that caliber to have decent shampoo. The food at the restaurant was fabulous and so was the attention of the staff.Chalets have a fireplace but if you need more wood they charge you. Also rooms are cold we requested a heater for each floor level but were told we could only have 1 heater because it would use too much electricity. The location is very nice and picturesque. The front desk personnel are very friendly and helpful. Had a problem with my airline they helped me communicate with them. I appreciate their great attitudes. If I return will definitely stay there and would recommend it to family and friends.
