Great hotel

Great hotel, with great service. People is very kind and helpful, and rooms are clean and pretty comfortable. Just a couple of things that were not working well for me: Security box of my room was not working, the remote control from the TV had some troubles and there is no umbrellas for the pool loungers, what is really uncomfortable due to the high temperatures and the sun strength

great hotel-shame on staff

Pros: was clean comfy and greta to stay
Cons: the staff need training. tax included means tax is included in price. not to charge more tax because they dont understand
Location: was here for business. is great nothing to seee realy but a nice hotel area.
was lovely stay this hotel except this hotel charged me tax again. i had already paid the tax to expedia(tax included) and hotel charged me a tax again so had to pay double the tax. Thanks expedia for quick refund.People please remember if you book expedia it includes your taxes. do let hotel charge you double tax

Very convenient location, but noisy rooms.

Pros: It is greatly located next to the best shopping center in Valledupar. Staff was helpful, and service was good.
Cons: Rooms are noisy, I could hear the music from the swimming pool, and computer from the room next to mine booting up.
Sonesta is supposed to be the best hotel in Valledupar, but although it is good, I didn't enjoy my stay I was hopped I would. Noisy rooms was the cause for it.

The staff was great and courteous. They would go out of their way whenever you requested anything. The rooms were a little dated but still comfortable.

As good as it gets in Valledupar

The location is great, the staffs are very friendly (although they need to know a bit more English) and food is great, However, not impressed with room old carpet and So called GYM I am glad that other hotels are being constructed in town, This Hotel can be a great destination with minor improvement given to location and staffs

No many good hotels in Valledupar

Pros: location
Cons: checkout
Location: the river where you can eat, drink and swim.
Over all pretty good. Breakfast was included but did not find until the second day. Staff is helpful but check out took about 30 minutes. crazy.

Over all it was nice - too many fees

I stayed in three hotels in Valledupar. This hotel had huge fees. Taxes, insurance, guest fees. The other hotels did not have all of these fees. I had to fight with them for 15 minutes so they did not double charge me for my room. Baby loved the swimming pool. Bed was nice.

Good hotel, excellent staff!

Pros: The front desk staff and the bell boys and doormen were excellent, friendly and helpful (specially Diego)
Cons: The breakfast buffet need more servers...
The hotel is brand new and is located next to a shopping mall, very convenient not only for shopping, but for taking a walk or to eat at the food court. The staff was very friendly and attentive, they do need more servers for the breakfast buffet. Overall , it's a 3.5 star hotel
