Nice Getaway

Posted Feb 19, 2017
Cons: A little more attention to detail in the cleanliness of the room. Also, maybe more shopping opportunities on the grounds.
Location: Mountains are lovely and provide a real "away from home" vibe. There are other casinos and wine tasting nearby.
My friend and I attended a concert at a casino nearby and decided to make a little getaway out of it by staying over an extra day. We arrived a little early for check in but were able to get into our room right away. There was a short wait but the staff was apologetic for the wait and the guy who checked us in was very pleasant and efficient. It kind of set the tone for all of our interactions with the staff. They were unfailingly welcoming, polite and helpful. There was some pretty serious weather on our second day so we decided to stay at the hotel rather than venture out. Unless one wants to gamble or eat nonstop there's not a whole lot to do right there on the premises, especially in bad weather. We did enjoy the Mexican restaurant - great margaritas - The Cafe and Pinks. We went to Corked to see a fun band One Less Monkey. The band was fun and talented but the show was delayed for 90 minutes because there was some interference with the Penn & Teller show next door. It seemed like a petty issue that should have been addressed more professionally and sensibly, especially since some buzz kill staff member literally insisted they stop playing after an hour despite the band and the crowd - aka customers- wanting to continue the party once it finally got started. Overall we had a good experience. I do have to mention our room was lovely and mostly clean but there was some pretty thick dust in the TV area and hard water stains in the shower. Still, we'll be back.

Location: About 46 Miles around 45 -1 hr from & to downtown San Diego. 15 -30 Minutes from San Diego Safari Park. Escondido & Temecula are close by.
It is SIMPLY STUNNING. LUXURY at its BEST amongst NATURE. About 46 Miles around 45 -1 hr from & to downtown San Diego. 15 -30 Minutes from San Diego Safari Park. PROS: Surrounded by Nature and beautiful Mountains Check In All Staff Cleanliness Stunning temperature controlled pools & LAZY River. Great and Modernized Rooms. Excellent Bathroom with elegant Large Standing In Shower. Pinks, Earls Sandwich, Buffet. No Resort Fee No Self Parking Fee CONS: WIFI costs 12.99$ for every 24 Hours and only Available to the Room that your checked into. Extra Cost for other areas in the hotel. Restricted to only 2 devices. Additional 12:99$ for extra devices. KJ's Restaurant's food quality and service was very bad with the exception. Need a better Asian Restaurant than just a over glorified Chinese takeaway gone wrong.

Pros: Clean, pleasant
Cons: The thermostat in the room was digital and locked - called for password but nothing changed. We burned up the first night and froze the second.
Do not bother with the over priced buffet. Just eat at Pink's and save the money.

A romantic getaway

Posted Jan 11, 2017
Pros: The lazy river and beautiful interior design of the rooms. Bathrooms were gorgeous. People were nice.
Cons: Winter pool hours. They close at 6pm and even on regular days at 8! At least keep the hot tubs open. Order drinks for guests at pool if bar is closed
Location: Lazy river, amazing hot tubs, casino, dinner, lavender farm, Oceanside
It was a very beautiful hotel. I was very pleased with the room. It was gorgeous and I loved the bathroom. My love and I got into our bathing suits ready to ride the lazy river and warm up in the hot tubs. The pool area was the one reason why we chose this location. We went down in our bathing suits and were told by one of the rewards guys that the pool closed at 6. Check in was at 4 and we do night shifts at the hospital, so we arrived just as they closed. We were so disappointed, since we had planned to stay for 1 night. Not only were we upset, he kept trying to talk to us about rewards in the middle of the casino while we were in our bathing suits, until we finally broke away. I was very upset, since the pool was the only reason we came. We finally decided to stay another night. They price was 40 dollars higher for that night, even though the pool situation ruined most of the trip. So plan to stay at least 2 nights. The pool and lazy river was worth it, but bar was closed since it was sprinkling. They also don't take drink orders for you at pool. The buffet is 30 bucks for dinner, so we didn't go, since we spent money on another night. I also wore a nice dress one night for dinner, but it was actually pretty laid back, so you don't need to dress to impress. Overall, I loved the hotel. The lazy river is like a ride with waterfalls and all. The pool area is gorgeous. 2 nights or more are needed. Buy them early and ask about pool hours. Cafe there was surprisingly good!
