My friend and I attended a concert at a casino nearby and decided to make a little getaway out of it by staying over an extra day. We arrived a little early for check in but were able to get into our room right away. There was a short wait but the staff was apologetic for the wait and the guy who checked us in was very pleasant and efficient. It kind of set the tone for all of our interactions with the staff. They were unfailingly welcoming, polite and helpful. There was some pretty serious weather on our second day so we decided to stay at the hotel rather than venture out. Unless one wants to gamble or eat nonstop there's not a whole lot to do right there on the premises, especially in bad weather. We did enjoy the Mexican restaurant - great margaritas - The Cafe and Pinks. We went to Corked to see a fun band One Less Monkey. The band was fun and talented but the show was delayed for 90 minutes because there was some interference with the Penn & Teller show next door. It seemed like a petty issue that should have been addressed more professionally and sensibly, especially since some buzz kill staff member literally insisted they stop playing after an hour despite the band and the crowd - aka customers- wanting to continue the party once it finally got started. Overall we had a good experience. I do have to mention our room was lovely and mostly clean but there was some pretty thick dust in the TV area and hard water stains in the shower. Still, we'll be back.
