Terrible room, great location.

Rooms smelled like smoke and looked right out of the 70s. Great location though.

Good hotel in great location.

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Staff, location and comfort
Cons: Wifi and room amenities
Nice hotel with very large rooms, including suite and kitchens. Very good value. Great location for Stanley Park and English Bay. Walking distance to everywhere. Excellent and friendly staff. Wifi was not working in our room. Hotel offered to move us to a different room but not with same sized beds. Coffee maker and iron were both broken at check-in. Hotel replaced. No hot water first night.

Nice hotel; dated décor but clean

Posted May 22, 2017
Pros: Location, clean and amenities close by
Cons: Décor old; in need of renovations; holes in curtains- all was clean but tired old décor made it appear otherwise
location was convenient for us as the purpose of our visit was to see family; convenient restaurant on site serving breakfast - friendly pleasant staff; grocery store, series of stores and liquor store within a minutes walk; stocked kitchenette and separate sitting area comfortable; within walking distance to downtown;

Too expensive for such a small room. Bathroom was tiny. Beds were OK. View was lousy.

Good experience! Overall, staff were helpful. Some concierge staff were unfriendly, however. Overall, a pleasant trip; great location, room clean and comfortable.

Great location reasonably priced

This was a great option for us for a quick 3-day Portland to Canada jaunt. The room was clean andhad a fantastic view of the harbor. Only complaints are the bathroom door sliders need maintenance; ours fell off the track and traffic noise is high. If you need to walk North Vancouver and English Bay, this is great. Lots of food options too.

Don't do it!

Posted May 15, 2017
This hotel is so outdated. From the 1807 elevators to the smelly carpets in the hallways. Im appalled by the state of this hotel. I have seen way better 3 star hotels and this, to me was a 1 star! The heating system must is from the 1807's too. I think its controlled from the front desk or something so what it means is you going to be so cold and ask your kids to wear their jackets to bed. For the price I paid,I am not a happy customer. Never again Coast!

Fine hotel, close to beach, downtown

Posted May 14, 2017
Pros: Staff
Cons: Update rooms with new furniture
Location: Everything is close to this hotel.
It's a fine hotel, close to the beach, downtown area. Too bad they will probably stop after this season. It's clean, but it's not all new any more.

Perfect for us

A suite with a view. Warm, clean and roomy. A real kitchen and a supermarket from the elevator was ideal for self catering, but good coffee was a two minute walk away. The beach and park were easily accessible as was the on-off bus tour, and all just 30 minutes taxi from the airport.
