Cons: Room could use some updating.
Comfortable bed. We had a unit with a kitchen, which we enjoyed. Room was quiet and very conveniently located near Capilano Suspension Bridge and grocery stores.

Had to change rooms but turned okay.

Posted Aug 15, 2015
First night my room was in the 100's building facing the street which turned out to be a major highway with loud traffic all night. I requested a room change for the second night. Staff very accommodating and moved me to the "200's" building behind the lobby building. Beautiful silence. Breakfast was okay but location too crowded. With a car, the location was convenient.

Canadian vacation

Pros: comfy bed
Cons: what I said above
Location: close to Stanley Park in Vancouver!!!!!
Room small and stuffy. Old carpet but bathroom, beds and kitchen were clean. Breakfast bar small, not enough space for everyone who showed up to sit. 3rd in line for waffle, took 25 minutes, machine old.

Overpriced.

Water stains on the lampshade, the wobbly table and a picture smaller than the electrical door it was trying to conceal all added to the sophistication of this establishment.

Dated and shows it

Posted Jul 27, 2015
Pros: the bed
Cons: breakfast cereals and waffles, bagels toast etc fine as were juices, but eggs and sausage patties bore little resemblance to human food
Location: good location close to town and tourist attractions
I stayed two nights at this hotel during peak season. The staff were pleasant and courteous, but my room was very 1970's and the attempts at update reminded me of the saying "putting lipstick on a pig." The least pleasing aspect of the junior suite was the entrance which was off a very narrow passageway to the parking lot. The living room was uncomfortable and the dishes and pots in the kitchen did not inspire confidence with their cleanliness. The highlight was the bed which was very comfortable and made up for some of the other deficiencies.

Staff was outstanding,

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: The beautiful courtyard for guest to enjoy. The free breakfast. Nice rooms. The helpful friendly staff.
Cons: Like everything in Vancouver, it was somewhat expensive.
Location: 5 minute free shuttle ride to Capilano suspension Bridge Park, in a gorgeous rainforest.
We felt like we were visiting friends because the staff was so friendly and accommodating! They offered us food and coffee while we waited for our cab. They gave us helpful suggestions and coupons for attractions.

Good motel.

Posted Jul 17, 2015
Pros: Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Very friendly staff. One block from a very pleasant nature trail leading to Mosquito Creek Park.
Cons: Kind of surprised that my room didn't have a fridge.
Location: A couple of good restaurants within walking distance. Downtown North Van (i.e. Lonsdale Street and Quay is a 30 minute walk along Marine Drive.
Stayed two nights while travelling with friends who stayed at a different hotel nearby. The other hotel was sold out so I stayed here. Good motel equivalent or better than a couple of competitors nearby. The pool here is much more private, if somewhat smaller, then the neighbours.
