nice hotel. close to the mall and good breakfast

Travelling with my father whom is elderly. Everything was wonderful even the great breakfast. Very helpful staff.

Wouldn't stay here if I had to

Charged extra fees, poor Internet, gross breakfast, pool was milky colored, bums hung around the smoker ashtrays outside, Adult store across the street, and add so on. Ick!

We came up from southern Oregon to visit the Portland zoo, it was very nice staying over night so we could get up and go early. Very family friendly, comfortable, nice, and clean. With three children in tow, very affordable too!

Comfort Suites Experience

Pros: The staff was nice. There was hot coffee & lemon-flavored water throughout the day. In the evenings, we were treated to warm chocolate chip cookies.
Cons: We can't think of anything that would have made our hotel stay any better.
Location: The hotel is by the Vancouver Mall. We visited Cannon Beach, Astoria, Puget Island, Columbia River Gorge, Ape Cave, and Lava Canyon during our stay.
The staff at this hotel was very friendly. We stayed at Comfort Suites for a total of 5 days and 4 nights while vacationing in the Vancouver, Washington area. We would have stayed longer but we needed to return to work. During our stay, we would receive a friendly greeting from a member of the staff each evening when we returned from a day of sightseeing. Cliff from the Maintenance area was especially nice. We didn't know the Vancouver area at all when we first arrived. When my wife said she wanted to visit caves, Cliff was quick to suggest Ape Cave by Mount St. Helens and proceeded to give us driving directions; we followed Cliff's suggestion and the whole experience turned out great. The next time we're in the Vancouver, Washington area, we will definitely book a room at this hotel again.

string chlorine smell

First floor has a strong chlorine smell all day long, they didn't clean the room 1 of the days

Just your middle of the road no frills hotel

Pros: Clean and room was spacious.
Cons: Better breakfast.
Location: Near a mall, close to freeways and lots of dining.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel not because it is bad but simply because it is ordinary, plain, and nothing special. If you are looking for a place to sleep that is clean and has a bed, TV and bathroom, it is quite acceptable. Anything special beyond that? Not so much, not even an elevator. I knew that ahead of time so it was fine but I just like things a little more upscale. For the price, it was perfectly adequate. Would I stay here again? No, I'd pay $20+ and get the things that I happen to like when I stay in a hotel. So again, not the hotel's fault but more my own preferences.
