“Third party bookings”

Like so many brands, Doubletree and Hilton in general, have started to discriminate against those who book through a travel agent or app such as Expedia. On this stay, that meant being bumped to a smaller bed and an ADA room next to the elevator. The staff was apologetic and even offerred cocktails and breakfast as compensation. we booked weeks in advance. We ARE members of their HHonors program but that meant nothing because I wanted the convenience of using one app for the whole trip. Badly done Doubletree. We have other options and will take our business elsewhere.

Nice room, very soft bed, wifi challenge

Nice room overall. Bed was too soft for my balky back, but I slept. Bigger issue was unable to get on WiFi without registering for Hilton account and downloading their app. Didn't cost anything except your private information and the aggravation. I will probably find a different hotel in the area next time for this reason. Plenty of other places nearby.

I also apologize for the inconvenience of Hilton Honors for the WiFi. It is a standard for DoubleTrees. Do come again soon and try out our new beds!

Great hotel

We went to see the eclipse in Oregon, but everything was sold out, so we had to look in WA. This hotel was nice, clean and friendly staff. Very close to Portland and to the airport. I would definitely recommend it.

That was a very interesting and crazy weekend. What an amazing event the eclipse was. It was great to share it with everyone that stayed here. Come stay with us again soon and discover what else Portland/Vancouver has to offer!

Hi Millie, When you come see us again you can reserve an ADA room if you would like. They have larger bathrooms to allow the maneuvering of wheel chairs. Maybe that's an option that will work better for you!

Solid comfortable friendly hotel

Comfortable hotel with spacious King premium rooms and very friendly staff. Good breakfast and comfortable beds. Only complaints I had was some of the toiletries normally on hand in a hotel were not available at the desk, room service one night was supposed to take 20m and took 50 and was mostly cold or not the best tasting, and HBO was out on Game of Thrones season premiere! Breakfast was decent. Again great staff though. Overall I would stay again.

Noise, noise and noise

The fan in the bathroom, the outdated AC on the wall made the stay unbearable. The noise was too terrible and I was not able to rest the whole night staying at this property.

I'm sorry you your room was so noisy. I know how upset I get when I am not able to get a full nights rest. Perhaps, if something like this was to happen again you could try calling the front desk. They may be able to have someone come up and fix the noise or move you to another room. Thank you for the feedback.

Poor service, cleanliness and comfort

Pros: Big room
Late arrival.. after dragging my bags up to the room, I find out the keycard don' work. Down three stories to get the keycards reprogrammed, at least a breakfast was offered (which I didn't need). The room was hot, the AC set at 65 degrees, never made the room comfortable. Black mold on the shower tile. I was informed no free WiFi, because I wasn't a Hilton club member. Motels at have the price offer free WiFi.

Cons: Availability of complimentary breakfast, without having to buy a breakfast.
Location: Restaurants and stores nearby
It was easy to check in they had my reservation. room was nice, bed, desk, couch, ironing board, hairdryer. I couldn't figure out how to turn the air conditioner off and call and he explained it so I understood.
