Nice hotel close to a lot of conveniences

Very nice room, very comfortable- liked that, but was very unhappy with other aspects. No room service ! If that wasn't enough, very unhappy because maid knocked on door and then told us we couldn't stay until checkout time.The desk did not care that we were treated rudely and we thought that their aim was to please. Found out their aim was indifference. So then the fact that we had to pay for what at other hotels is a complimentary breakfast was annoying.

Beautiful stay Right Downtown

Pros: Clean, warm well maintained.
Location: Right downtown near lots of shopping and restaurants. Beautiful location
We came in to visit family just before Christmas and it was warm and inviting. We were able to get in some last minute shopping while the kids and Dads swam. Staff was helpful and pleasant. Thank you for a lovely stay.

“Third party bookings”

Like so many brands, Doubletree and Hilton in general, have started to discriminate against those who book through a travel agent or app such as Expedia. On this stay, that meant being bumped to a smaller bed and an ADA room next to the elevator. The staff was apologetic and even offerred cocktails and breakfast as compensation. we booked weeks in advance. We ARE members of their HHonors program but that meant nothing because I wanted the convenience of using one app for the whole trip. Badly done Doubletree. We have other options and will take our business elsewhere.

I am sorry to hear about your reservation. It is true that sometimes reservations can be moved to a different room type. It is something that we try and avoid but it's not always under our control.When it does happen we do our best to try and make up for it with some extra care and attention. Weekend staycation

Hi Michelle, Agreed our rooms are very comfortable! I've only stayed in them with my wife and they feel quiet roomy for the two of us. Hopefully you got to get out a little bit and visit some of our wonderful dining spots, maybe even made it out to Multnomah Falls for a wonderful hike! Next time you come back make sure and ask at the front desk where to go, they may have a couple sugestions for you that you missed last time. Justin

Housekeeping started knocking on doors at 8 am, hope you don't plan on sleeping in past 8 am.

Oh no, I would not be happy to be woken up at that time when on vacation either! A little reminder/tip is to use the do not disturb door hanger. Housekeeping has to start somewhere in the morning and once they've done all the rooms that are checked out they start checking on the others. If that hanger is on the door they'll move on and come check back later! Have a great day and come stay with us again soon!

Nice room, very soft bed, wifi challenge

Nice room overall. Bed was too soft for my balky back, but I slept. Bigger issue was unable to get on WiFi without registering for Hilton account and downloading their app. Didn't cost anything except your private information and the aggravation. I will probably find a different hotel in the area next time for this reason. Plenty of other places nearby.

Not your typical Doubletree

This is an old hotel that needs work. The room that they gave me had a lot of noise during the day and night. Management said it was because of the swimming pool. There is no sink in the bathroom you had to go outside the bathroom to wash your hands. They give you two washcloth in the room which I thought was not enough for two people if you take a shower on arrival and early morning. The rooms are very small, don't waste your money booking this hotel, go and stay at a cheaper hotel for less money with more amenities. I am a Hilton Honor member but I think of all the Doubletree Hotels that I have stayed this is the worst. Will not go there again.

Hi Essie, Though it is true that our property is 20 years old I feel like it is doing quite well. Our maintenance team works hard at keeping it looking sharp. I know our front desk team is always happy to get guests more amenities like towels and shampoo if asked. If we haven't provided enough of something in your room give them a ring and they will rush it right up. Come back and give us another shot, we'd love to make it up to you!
