Would not take the trouble to call me about bag

Posted Aug 25, 2015
House keeping entered our room right after we left. We spent the rest of the day in Vancouver and then drove home to Seattle. The next day I noticed I was missing my computer bag. I call and thankfully it was in the lost and found so I am having it shipped to me. My beef is you would think at $600.00 per night they would have made the effort to call me about the bag right when they found it. I then could have just drove by and picked it up. Bad customer service expect better when paying through the nose.

Went to the hotel for a wedding. A was very happy with my overall experience. I asked someone at guest services to help me tie my tie. He was happy to help and really helped me out.

Great Hotel across the street from the VCC

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Cons: Free Internet could have just been provided without the annoyances involved.
Location: Vancouver Convention Center. Also, on the other side of the building is a Gelato shop that always has a long line outside of it.
It was as expected for a five star hotel. Soft, comfortable beds, great customer service, TV in the bathroom. The Internet offering was a bit annoying, as you have to either pay or join the loyalty program to access it, but otherwise the stay itself was fantastic. To put it bluntly - it is an expensive hotel, but it is also a very high class hotel, which means the comfort is top notch.

Excellent choice in downtown Vancouver!

Posted Aug 3, 2015
Pros: Really top-notch from start to finish. All staff members made us feel special and taken care of even though they were fully booked.
Cons: No suggestions.
Location: Lots of choices for shopping and restaurants, biking, hiking and tennis.
We will definitely choose the Fairmont Pacific Rim for our next visit to Vancouver. It's not a budget hotel so don't expect a cheap price but all of the details that go towards making your stay pleasant and memorable are there. The staff and service are exceptional in every area of the hotel. The rooms are impeccable, modern and well appointed. The added bonus of having a private car service for locations close to the hotel is wonderful. Until Uber arrives in Vancouver, it was great not to have to get into a smelly taxi. Add award-winning, nationally recognized gelato around the corner and a fun vibe in the lobby bar at night and you have the makings of a wonderful weekend away.

Best place to stay in Vancouver

Stayed in the Fairmont Waterfront a few years ago. Thought we'd try the Pacific Rim this time. Even better. Chic but welcoming and comfortable. Spacious rooms. Great views. Staff couldn't be bettered.

Everything was great. We could hear noise from the street but not a big deal. We were on 12 floor. We requested a microwave and it was provided to us in half hour which was so convenient.

Pros: Great location at the waterfront.
Cons: A coffee shop or café on site would be nice. There was a Starbucks in the adjacent building.
Location: Within walking distance of a lot. And shuttles and cabs very handy for more outlying destinations. Being near the cruise ship docking site was nice.
This was our first time to Vancouver and we were happy with the choice of accommodations. Staff was pleasant and attentive. When our attempt to pay online for internet failed several times, engineering came up and signed us on for free for our entire stay which was nice.
