Perfect Hotel For Our Shopping Trip

This was my second time staying here. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the rooms were spacious and clean and the free breakfast was great. The best part was the location. It is steps away from the sky train station and right next to Metrotown. It made our weekend shopping trip stress free!

Holiday getaway

Pros: Close to the mall and sky train so it was easy to get around. Breakfast was good, service was friendly and professional.
Service was great. Our room was ready for an early arrival and for a late departure. Bags were stored for us as our flight was at a later time so that allowed us to explore for almost a full day. There were renovations happening in an adjoining building but the hotel staff was very good about trying to minimize how the Holiday Inn guests were impacted. I would certainly stay here again.

Nice hotel close to BC biggest shopping mall.

Newly renovated hotel close to metropolis and crystal mall. Hotel staff are 5-star. Upon arrival, we we're assigned to a room close to a vending machine. When asked, the front desk pleasantly changed to another room. She even phoned us to see if we we're satisfied. It was a nice room except the a/c was really noisy. We turned it off and then woke up in the middle of night because of the chill. But we felt uneasy to mention it. Next morning , the manager greeted us with smile. He asked if everything was OK. We kind of mentioned the a/c problem. He said it would be looked at. When we came back later that day, we saw a note that the fan making too much noise, and the technician changed the a/c!! What a surprise! On the Christmas Eve, they setup a table at the lobyy with nice Christmas treats. A very happy 5-day stay at the hotel. We will come back again. Id possible, choose a room at opposite of the train because it starts early and are loud.

Great Location

Pros: Location and the free parkade.
Cons: Wrote in my experience.
Location: MetroTown Mall, a great place to shop and dine.
I booked for 11 nights for a 2 Queen bed Room for 1 person. However I later wanna to have a King Bed so I emailed them my request. They did reply me on my second chaser and told that due to availability they weren’t able to change my bed type, but had put a note in their log book to see if there’s one during my stay. When I checked in and asked, they said no King Bed was available. The second day, I contacted them again, they replied the same and then nothing was heard since. It appeared that they didn’t follow up with the request. Whatever they like to entertain a customers’ request or not, it would be nicer if they could proactively follow up the request. The breakfast is not bad except it is the same every day. There’s only two elevators which was quite slow. Beds are comfy, but one thing I do not appreciate was that there’s no Kettle in the room. So I had just to use the Tea Maker to make some hot water (a cup at a time). I would recommend for it’s great location.
