Well located, wonderful staff, good experience

Posted Aug 21, 2015
I suppose that some people might find the modestly sized rooms, lack of meat-locker Air Conditioning, and the shower down the hall to be daunting, but it was perfect for me, and the location simply couldn't have been much better. I found the staff to be unfailingly friendly and helpful. The food in the newly refurbished taproom was quite good - I've stayed at a lot of fancy hotels whose restaurants were um... pretty quotidian. Not so here.

Good Location

Posted Aug 19, 2015
Pros: The staff at the front desk. The location was perfect. The price was very reasonable too.
Cons: The daily cleaning of the room. May be a wider choice for breakfast, fruit, yogurt or cheese.
Location: There is plenty to do, museums, art gallery and shopping.
Room compact, hot and although bed was clean the sink and floor were not cleaned during our 3 night stay. The bin wasn't emptied either. The shared bathroom was very clean and the water lovely temperature. Their were plenty of clean towels and a selection of toiletries. The staff at reception were very helpful and friendly.

Clean, well run bed and breakfast

Posted Aug 14, 2015
The Kingston Bed and Breakfast is an older venue (built 1910?) located in downtown Vancouver, so I walked to all the venues I needed to visit. It is very clean, and the staff are quite friendly. It is a Bed and Breakfast, not a hotel - there are shared bathrooms and showers (although there is a sink in the bedroom). Towels are provided, as is soap and shampoo (just like a hotel). There was no television (but free WiFi), and no air conditioning in the very compact rooms. The breakfast was bagels or toast with orange wedges, orange juice and coffee, tea or hot chocolate, but was available almost all morning. It is adjacent to a pub, and they offer those who stay at the B&B a discount on the restaurant food. Perhaps not for those who prefer luxury and pampering, but quite affordable and sensible for those who need to be downtown, and use a hotel as a place to sleep.

Close to BC Place for concerts

Very tiny rooms but our fault not doing more research. No air conditioning. Price definitely reflects the quality. Probably won't stay again. Staff was excellent

中心街に近いホテル

Posted Aug 2, 2015

hôtel très bien situé

Posted Aug 2, 2015

Good value

This hotel is in a good location, and whilst the hotel is quiet, the current construction noise outside the window was not, but it looks to be ending soon. Single room had plenty of space for me and my stuff. The staff were friendly and helpful, the shared amenities were always clean and available. Even receive a discount on meals at the tap room and eating place next door.

Great bar!

Rooms were adequate for what you need from them, sleeping. Otherwise the downtown is all around you. FANTASTIC server in Aretha next door at the bar.

Affordable, comfortable, and lovable hotel!

Posted Jun 12, 2015
Pros: Service, price, comfort, coziness, and location.
Cons: Softer bed sheets, pillowcases, and linens.
Location: Roger's Arena, BC Place, shopping on Robson Street, close to buses and skytrains.
The staff were amazing - they were so prompt, courteous, and friendly. The room was small and did not have a washroom (all of the washrooms are shared,) but it was clean, cozy, and had a very nice sink near the bed. Slept well and had a simple, quick, and filling continental breakfast (fresh orange, orange juice, and a bagel with peanut butter). Would definitely recommend solely for the safe, secure, and cute/cozy experience but with the added factor of it being so reasonably priced, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Kingston to anyone who wants to stay downtown.
