The hotel is centrally located which suited our needs well. We were allowed to check in 3 hours early which was a nice bonus. The staff were friendly and helpful. Although we had notified the hotel in advance that there would be 3 adults and we would need extra bedding, towels etc., we had to ask for these again after we checked in. These items were provided promptly. I would stay there again.

Great Stay at a Perfect LocationPosted Oct 5, 2015
Pros: The new rooms are amazing and the location is fantastic.
Cons: Everything was great!
Location: Steps away from Robson, meaning loads of shopping and excellent restaurants.
I have been to La Grande Residence at Sutton Place before and the stay was good but the rooms were getting older. My wife and I stayed here this past weekend and had a "modern design" one bedroom apartment which was absolutely fantastic and extremely comfortable. The design was beautiful, the furnishings were comfortable and tasteful, and we mentioned over and over again all weekend, how beautiful the room was and how comfortable the bed was. The older rooms that have not been renovated are okay but not fantastic, but these new rooms are amazing. There is no better location in the city if you are looking to be in the middle of the shopping and dining area of downtown. It is steps away from Robson and is convenient to everything. We will definitely be staying here when in Vancouver again!

Nice downtown area close to shopping, etc.Posted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: Clean, in the heart of downtown shopping, etc.
Location: Close to shopping, easy access to public transportation, etc.
Very nice area in the downtown area. Lot's of high end shopping, great restaurants and museums. Loved walking in the the neighborhood. Close to run or take a walk along the shore line and into park areas. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Room was spectacular, everything was clean and bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

Overall good - They had slow elevatorsPosted Sep 28, 2015
Overall good - They had slow elevators. It seemed throughout the weekend it was difficult for most people. It was a long wait and several people would have to board the elevators leaving some off.

老舗 の古いホテルPosted Sep 21, 2015

Excellent locationPosted Sep 17, 2015
Pros: Room, location, staff, cleanliness, comfort.
Location: The location is central to everything: Canada Place, visitor center, train station, bus stops theatres, and restaurants. Perfect location.
Our Deluxe suite was huge with large living room, dining area, large bedroom and separate kitchen plus a balcony with two chairs and a table on it. This was great for us to sit with a glass of wine at the end of an active day of sightseeing and enjoy the sights and sounds of the city. The suite was spacious, clean, comfortable and we felt very much at home. We love it and definitely stay here again. The concierge staff was very helpful in navigating us through the city.

Condo conveniences in a great locationPosted Sep 13, 2015
Pros: Room layout, service and location.
Cons: Maybe some salt/pepper packets in kitchen otherwise really great. We didn't use the pool or hot tub bc the chlorine smell was too strong for us
Location: Heart of downtown Vancouver, 15 minute walk to the water (Coal Harbor/Canada Place). Everything you need for your stay is less than a 5 min walk away
Requested a renovated 2 bedroom room at La Grande Residence after reading reviews. The condo style suite was excellent. Bedrooms spaced apart with the living room, dining and kitchen in the middle of the suite. Elegantly appointed. Unit had 2 bedrooms, 1 full bath, 1 powder room. The kitchen was well stocked with 2 burner stove, microwave/oven combo, dishwasher, a nespresso and a coffee machine. We got take out once during our stay as the restaurant served excellent sushi but very small (Shizen Ya) and were happy to find all the plates, utensils that we needed. Also handy for heating up leftover food. Good beds albeit typical corporate hotel set up. Staff at the Sutton Place was fantastic. Friendly service at the front desk, concierge and the bell desk/porters. You can't beat the location - heart of downtown Vancouver, next to an IGA grocery store, close to Tim Hortons around the corner on Hornby Street and Starbucks across the street.
