Exceeded my expectations

Posted Aug 26, 2015
The hotel far exceeed my expectations. The room was much nicer than I was expecting for the price. The hotel staff was great at checkin. The breakfast had more items than I was expecting as well. The dining area was outside though, which was great since the weather was nice. Overall it was a great experience!

Cozy hotel with a nice atmosphere

Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Location and comfort.
Cons: Wi-Fi connection was weak.
Location: Very close to downtown Vancouver. Plenty of dining options within walking distance (we ate at a nice Vietnamese restaurant nearby).
Stayed only 2 days but the hotel was comfortable to stay in. Convenient to major roadways into downtown Vancouver (less than 15 minutes depending on traffic). The neighborhood the hotel was located was nice.

Good value

Posted Aug 23, 2015
Loved the pool. Free breakfast good, helped the budget. Quiet despite being close to busy street. Try to avoid rush hour traffic with road construction. ..area parks are wonderful. Loved capillano suspension bridge and sky ride to grouse mountain.

Great location with big downside

Posted Aug 22, 2015
This hotel has a great location, close to grouse mountain, capilano suspension bridge etc..traffic backs up from lions gate bridge right in front of hotel, highly recommend using Vancouver's public transportation system. The buses get to bypass alot of traffic.

Good location but has a wasp problem!

Posted Aug 17, 2015
Good location right next to the freeways and the Lions gate bridge. Wifi signal is great. Unfortunately they have a bad wasp problem at their outside breakfast eating area. Every day there were dozens of wasps invading the area trying to get at peoples food. No one wanted to sit outside. Unfortunately there is no indoor seating so people were standing around the food service area to eat. The staff put traps out but for whatever reason they thought it wise to put the traps in the seating area which attracted even more wasps.

Below average hotel

Posted Aug 16, 2015
We got a room on the first floor and could not close the blinds. It was uncomfortable having people passing by all night and looking into our room. Next morning breakfast was OK. Tables were by the pool and a garden we got quite a few bees and crows around, not pleasant at all.

Good Motel, but's it a motel

Nice basic motel with good location. Way over priced for value. Included breakfast and parking. Pool was heated. Kid friendly.

Excellent Staff

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Staff, Pool.
Cons: Variety of food for Breakfast
Location: Located close to Lions Gate Bridge and down the road from the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Many good food places are nearby
The staff were excellent during our trip. Every request was answered and fulfilled promptly, and they treated other guests in the same way. The hotel is not luxurious but clean and very comfortable.

Excellent Staff

Posted Aug 9, 2015
Pros: Staff, Pool
Cons: Variety of food for breakfast
Location: The hotel is across the road from a Donair shop, Pizza shop and a somewhat expensive small market. It is within walking distance of Save on Foods.
During our stay, the staff were excellent. Every request was answered and fulfilled promptly, and I noticed that they also treated other guests the same way. The hotel is not luxurious, but clean and functional.
