Close to all amenities

Posted Feb 26, 2017
Room was clean and quiet. The breakfast was not appealing and I noticed some food safety issues ex: cheese and ham sitting out with no ice or away to keep it cold. Loved that it was close to many amenities.

The hotel was econmically perfect. Checked in super late and checked out super early so not able to experience the breakfast.

Dear guest, Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We have scheduled maintenance and regular carpet shampoo, but I guess we missed this one. Thank you for your feedback so we can have them fix, and provide better services.

Good value for the price

Typical motel style accommodation. Easy location to find. It could do with some minor upgrades but it was good value and typical of the style of accommodation.

Pros: It was cheap and had parking and free wi-fi.
Cons: Basic room facilities (i.e. blankets), cleanliness, and breakfast facilities.
Location: Only good for a cheap, last minute overnight stay.
The room was clean, however the blankets on the bed smelt pretty bad. It would have been nice to have duvet on each bed rather than a very thin blanket, in the middle of winter. The breakfast was ok, however the pancake maker didn't work and the front desk staff didn't seem interested in fixing it. We had to sit outside or eat standing up inside, until they decided to open a small indoor room to eat (about and hour after breakfast officially started).

Hi Kira, I'm sorry you were not happy about your stay. I know it's too late to mention, but we do have extra blanket at the desk. I wish we could have done something for you when you were staying with us. Also, our front desk agents was not trained to operate the pancake maker. We will take that into consideration so next time if the breakfast attendant is too busy to help, our front desk agent can give him/her a hand. Thank you for your feedback.

Very good for price

Posted Feb 6, 2017
Pros: Location, cleanliness, price
Cons: Breakfast area needs to be larger.
Location: Capilano bridge, Stanley park, Cypress mountain
Overall nice experience despite power outage which was fixed quickly and didn't affect our stay. Morning breakfast is good, but eating area is outside and serving area is very small for the size of the hotel , thus very crowded and congested.

Dear Guest, We are glad the power outage didn't ruin your stay. We noticed our indoor sitting area is quite small so we added the outdoor patio with overhead heating installed, but I understand it's still an issue especially when we suffer a cold weather like this (haven't happened in Vancouver for a couple of years). Thank you for taking your writing us your comments.

Thought we were in for a nice quiet sleep but...

Posted Jan 30, 2017
Pros: Price was right but I would rather pay more for a sound nights rest.
Cons: Courtesy for others. Place late arrivals in one area of the hotel so they are not disturbing guests who are already sleeping.
We were on a short stay while we conducted some business in Vancouver. We arrived at our room about 9:00 pm and my wife and both commented on how quiet the room was and hoped that we would get a restful nights sleep. Well that all changed in the "middle" of our night, obviously not for others, when at 2:00 am the room on one side of became occupied. They slammed doors, talked very loudly and kept us awake for about 45 minutes while they settled. We just fell back asleep when the room on the other side of us became occupied with guests at 3:15 am. This group was extremely loud slamming the door at least 4 times while they came and went. They were yelling at others from the second floor balcony to others that were at their vehicle on the main level and continued to yell in the suite for well over an hour. Needless to say, we did not get much sleep as we had to be on the road by 7:00 for an appointment. I brought the issue up with the front desk in the morning and the only thing I was told was that I should report those issues during the night. I definitely should have brought it to their attention but I kept thinking that nobody could be that disrespectful and hoped that things would settle down.

Dear Ron, We are sorry we didn't meet your expectation. Our front desk opens 24 hours to assist our guests. Thank you for being so kind not bothering our front desk agent in the middle of the night. but we missed the chance to stop the noise for you. Please let us know if you are planning to come to town again. We will make sure you have a nice stay with us next time. Thank you for your feedback.

Nice base when going downtown Vancouver

Posted Jan 28, 2017
Pros: Close to downtown, friendly staff, goog size and comfortable rooms.
Location: Very close to downtown Vancouver particularly if you have to go there early in the morning, before 7:30an, missing the heavy traffic.
Very comfortable, homey feeling, perfect location when you have to work in Vancouver. I stay there on a regular basis.
