Good location

Had a good stay in clean rooms, quiet and well located in downtown Vancouver. They have a dedicated floor for small dog owners and their pets.

Great location on Broadway West

Posted Aug 24, 2016
Right on Broadway with plenty shops restaurants and amenities in the vicinity. It's maybe a 20 min walk down to False Creek and then the likes of Granville Island is within easy reach Skytrain station just a few minutes walk away on Cambie and also plenty of buses to take you to Downtown. This is a main thoroughfare so traffic noise is noticeable but you draw back the curtains for killer views of the North Shore Mountains. The hotel does look a bit tired but staff were all helpful. We had an issue with the room on the first night and although it couldn't be resolved immediately, the duty manager went out of his way to ensure it was sorted. Even though the hotel was fully booked, there was still plenty of underground parking available. Okay, if you must be Downtown then this isn't the place to stay but it does offer a convenient alternative.

Practical and clean

Posted Aug 12, 2016
Pros: Central location
Cons: mattresses are aging, bathroom is dated
Location: Many shops, boutiques, restaurants, pharmacy, natural foods, all in walking distance.
Hotel is dated, but clean. Centrally located, bus and bike rental at door, 24-hour pharmacy and coffee shop across the street, walking distance to many locations, including Granville Island. On central blvd and next to hospital, heavy to moderate traffic all day. Balcony with patio door, room furnishings are minimal, beds need to be changed. If sleeping with a/c, one bed (of two double) less than two feet from a/c vent. Bathroom is functional, needs renovating, but very clean.

Dear JD, Thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm glad you found the hotel to be clean, our housekeepers take great pride in their job. Are hotel is over 45 years old, but the rooms were gutted 10 years ago and since then we have replaced many of the furnishing, the carpets, TV, dressers, closets, wallpaper, chairs and made a number of other improvements. Many of the rooms have new mattresses but there are some that still need to be changed and we hope to do that by the end of the year. I hope you enjoyed your visit to Vancouver, we thank you for your business. Jill Love Rooms Division Manager

Close to everything.

Posted Aug 11, 2016
Cons: The staff at the desk were not very friendly.
This hotel doesn't look like much when you first see it, but it close to everything. Within walking distance to the waterfront, Granville Island and the train station which takes you to Canada Place. Also many shops around for drinks, dinner, breakfast etc.

Good hotel for a base

Posted Aug 6, 2016
Hotel was ideal for us who just wanted a bed close to Downtown while staying in Vancouver. Would say the hotel was a little bit in need of a refurb if being picky, but the room was fine, TV, coffee machine, fridge and a comfortable bed. Staff were all really friendly particularly the ladies in the breakfast room who were full of good advice for sightseeing. Was a 5-10 minute walk to Broadway station and it was a nice walk to Granville Island via Charleston Park and the Creek although a bit of a climb on the way back. Overall a good hotel to use as a base.

Budget hotel nicely located next to public trans

Posted Aug 5, 2016
My family of 4 (2 adults; 2 teenagers) stayed at the Park Inn & Suites for 3 nights in July 2016. Staff and general hotel: this is just a place to stay. Breakfast is additional and there are no guest services to speak of, although we did get a daily newspaper at our door. Staff was friendly when we had a question. Room: basic 2 queen bed room with a small balcony that steps out with lovely view of the city. On a busy street but we were not kept up with any excessive noise. Clean but nothing fancy. It did have a fridge and a microwave. Location: This is the selling point of this hotel. It is not in downtown Vancouver proper ($$$!) but it is 4 blocks away from the subway that will get you to downtown, the waterfront, gas town, etc It is also on the 9 and 99 bus route which both take you very close to Granville Island (a boarding location for the HO HO bus). We found it quite easy to navigate around the whole city from this location.

Amazing view!

Posted Aug 5, 2016
Pros: The view😊
Cons: Reception staff didn't acknowledge guests especially one who was surly.
Location: Was a bit out of town but a bus dropped us in downtown. Make sure you know we're to get the bus back can be a bit confusing.
We were amazed to open the curtains and see a fantastic view over Vancouver. The room was fine and we slept well. Only thing that disappointing was one of the reception staff was not at all helpful. All in all a good hotel but charging a little more to provide a breakfast would have been welcomed.
