Hotel is very central to most Vancouver attraction

Posted Nov 29, 2016
Pros: Staff, location and room size were all positives. You can walk to many restaurants and amenities. Very close proximity to Granville Island
Cons: Parking is limited and tight
Location: Granville Island and water taxis around False Creek were great. Great food and entertainment right next door.
This property has a very modest lobby but staff and manager were there to greet us. They were very accommodating and provided an upgrade at a minimal charge. Room with a fabulous city view, very comfortable, and clean. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Decent hotel. Great staff

Posted Nov 20, 2016
I like this hotel as its close to decent restaurants. The cleaning staff are super friendly and attentive. We had a good recomendation for the red ginger just up the street for dinner and that was really great! The bed was really uncomfortable. It had a matress pad and it was still rock hard. We didn't have a view this time. The room looked out onto the dirty back alley. It has decent parking but not enough handicap spots. In the regular spots there was just enough room to get out on the drivers side but only 4 inches between the other car on the other side with our truck so spots are very tight rooms are good space wise lots of room to get around. It has a full closet, fridge and coffee bar. The restaurant is very basic. No windows but the staff is friendly and my husband liked the food( I didn't). This stay our room wasn't as good as the two stays we've had before ( we had a view and the bed was a little more comfortable) but we would stay here again

Dear Guest, We thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to provide your comments. The side of the hotel in which you stayed is in fact the quieter side facing VGH. Next time you stay with us if you require a VIEW guestroom please ensure that you mention this when booking and we will accordingly provide (upgrade fee required). Although we have many parking stalls available, including handicap spaces of course, when the hotel was built it was built for cars, not trucks so it is a little tight. May I suggest parking in the back of the hotel where it easier to maneuver a truck; the person who requires handicap access can be dropped off right at the front door as we have spaces for check-in, check-out. We look forward to serving you again the future. With our regards, D. Tooley, Director of Sales

A nice view but.....

Posted Nov 20, 2016
The rooms with a view are on the Broadway Ave side, near the General Hospital, so there are sirens, sirens, sirens all night.

Dear Guest, Thank you for staying with us. We apologize on the noise "pollution" which affected your sleep. While the guestrooms on the Broadway Avenue side are "sought after" rooms due to the view of the downtown core of Vancouver and Northshore Mountains the opposite side of our hotel is quiet. We hope to serve you again one day on the quiet, non view guestrooms side of the hotel. With our regards, D. Tooley, Director of Sales

Pros: The location was perfect for the meeting I was in Vancouver for, and the bonus of lots of restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance.
Cons: The traffic made it noisier than I would have preferred.

Dear Christine, Thank you for staying with us and we are happy to read that you enjoyed the neighborhood! Very sorry regarding the noise, you may have had a guestroom facing north which although the views are stunning we are in the heart of Fairview Slopes. We hope to serve you again and perhaps request a guestroom facing south. With our regards and thanks again. D. Tooley

Convenient and Clean

Posted Oct 24, 2016
This hotel is conveniently located by VGH on West Broadway which is ideal for anyone visiting someone in the hospital or doing a course. Rooms are average, a bit older, but staff was friendly. Not the quietest location, but for obvious reasons.

Wonderful Experience

Posted Oct 24, 2016
Pros: the king size bed and views!
Cons: I would improve the front lobby staff. It looked like they were very busy and made me not want to ask for help.
Location: Everything was very convenient.
I had the opportunity to go stay at Park Inn and it was very pleasant. I had my partner's birthday and they helped me set up the place with balloons and banners. They gave us cookies too! Not to mention the views of the place! WOW. I was so happy with that. Will be going back soon!
