The hotel was under construction but they couldn't help that, it needs to be done. However there were multiple issues; - no fan in the bathroom - sink was plugged - no closet: ironing board was in the corner of the room. Very small room - hottub was really just luke warm - fitness gym not open before 7am

The Sandman is perfect place to stay in downtown Vancouver. Great little gym and pool. Staff is always friendly and helpful. Room is always clean. Great views from the window. It is close to many great restaurants and attractions. Always a great stay at the Sandman

The proximity to where we had a medical appointment was excellent. Due to the remodeling, traffic was affected which culminated in confusion for parking. Lack of signage and traffic control measures. The room itself was different than pictured (have mobility issues). We made due. Reported electrical problems to front desk as we were leaving. Still an enjoyable stay.

They are undergoing renovations so it was a bit chaotic. Long line to check in . Otherwise a plesant stay .

Excellent downtown location. We were able to walk to the Roger’s Arena in like 5 minutes. There are many walkable things to do eg. shopping, dining, casino. We could not check in until 330 pm due to ‘wifi down’. Wifi was limited. Loved Vancouver.

When we informed the front desk of an empty beer bottle, half eaten pepperoni stick, crackers stuck in carpet and a dirty sock all they could say was did you report it immediately . I told them we found this out on our last night as we were getting our stuff ready. Only there for 2 nights and didn’t ask for maid service

Staff at check in and checkout were friendly, unfortunately the bathroom light fixture was being finicky and might possibly need to be replaced.. maintenance replaced the bulbs but it still took multiple tries to keep the lights on without turning off..

We had a great stay. Just a 2 minute walk to the Laufey concert @ QET for my child’s 1st ever concert with his friend. Parking was challenging though especially happy/hockey hour times. The pool was under reno so it was a disappointment. The staff were marvelous. Upgraded to a beautiful 2queen corner room at check in. The 2 gentlemen at the front desk( sorry for the STML of your names) were so kind! Had to drive back and forth for a parking space @ rush hour. So lesson learned to arrive b4 it next time! Thank you to Nina and April! You ladies rock! So kind and accomodating!

PARKING. Hotel parking should NOT be shared as public parking. Hotel guests who are paying to be there have nowhere to park because it’s filled with the public parking. Absolutely ridiculous. I paid for hotel parking and circled the underground 3 times and not a single spot, and had to wait until someone eventually left. This includes the “enterprise only” parking, where the hotel staff tells you to park if all the other stalls are taken.

Our time here so far has been good. Location is great. It’s nearby all the things we wanted with walking, so that’s fantastic. The room is okay. Bed is pretty firm and our tv doesn’t work, but the hotel in general - no major issues. Would come again.

Ongoing renovations. The underground parkade is in terrible condition with large chunks of concrete missing, exposed reinforcing steel and peeling paint. We were leery about parking there but since we were only staying one night we took a risk. It’s handy to B.C. Place and Rogers Arena, but that’s about the best reason I can think of to stay there. Our room was small, with an odd layout, but clean and comfortable.

The pool and hot tub were great to have and use . The only thing missing was a balcony to sit on and eat at ! Our bed was not the most comfortable to sleep on but we were grateful to have a place to stay regardless..also,not thrilled with having to pay for parking and the limited amount available.

We loved the view of Vancouver from our room on the top floor. I booked the room so that we could walk to the Queen Elizabeth Theater, which is just across the street. It was so handy as I can’t walk too far. The hotel offers room service & also has two restaurants - Moxies & the Shark (a bistro/ bar establishment). My young granddaughter & myself had tons of fun in the heated indoor pool and the hot tub.

We booked a room with 2 queen beds. Upon check in, they only had a king with a pullout option left. I did have confirmation of 2 queen bedroom. Disappointed
