A 'Mature' Woman Travelling Alone

Pros: I liked everything about my Hotel Experience
Cons: Everything was fine.
Location: I was in Vancouver this time only for the night. I didn't leave the hotel
I found my hotel experience exemplary from the moment I stepped into the lobby. Spacious and beautiful its ambience was welcoming, as well. I was promptly checked in and was made to feel 'taken care' of with regards to my questions of where to eat, shuttle service, directions to elevators. My room was spacious and very comfortable. Dinner at CHOP, in the dining room, was lovely and once again I felt very 'taken care of' in the most pleasing manner. I travel quite a bit and I travel alone, for the most part. I felted welcomed and 'safe' at The Sandman Signature Vancouver Airport Hotel. I would stay here again and I will most certainly recommend it to my friends.ll

Complimentary Shuttle.....Don't count on it!

We picked this hotel due to its shuttle service to/from the airport, the swimming pools for my 3 children, and access to different restaurants nearby to the hotel. After arriving to the airport I called the hotel to request the shuttle service. I was told where we needed to meet the shuttle and that it would be about a 20 minute wait. It was easy enough to find the location although it was chaos there. We watched other hotels shuttle service go by at least 3 times with hardly anyone in them. The first time we saw the Sandman shuttle it was already full and he didn't stop. After waiting for an hour (with now 3 grumpy children) we finally saw the Sandman shuttle again. This time it stopped only to be told it is full again and that we should wait at the International shuttle stop. By this time, my youngest was asleep in our arms so we grabbed all our luggage as best we could and went over to get a taxi to the hotel. By the time we got checked in it was past supper time so we went to Denny's to eat (watch out for the ants). By the time we got out of there, it was too late for the kids to go swimming which was the one thing they had been looking forward to all day. The room itself was okay so if you don't plan your schedule around the hotel shuttle you should be okay.

We really enjoyed the Chop Restaurant. The burger was amazing and my friend's salmon meal was also unbelievable. My sisters steak was one of the best she has ever had!

Although the lay out of the hotel is confusing at times and the room has some updating to do it still meets all your needs of a hotel stay. Denny's is close and I Hop plus a little breakfast if need be if your on the go. (But you have to buy it)

Good hotel for a transit stay

Staff was nice, check in was fast, but we did check in 6 hours after the stated check in time so the hotel was quiet. Room was very clean and comfortble. Shuttle service to the airport was free and on time and a great help.

A nice easy 7 min drive from the airport and easy to access. Two good restaurants in the hotel, Two pools and a hot tub, and seemed to be in a quiet area of the city.

Buena ubicación en Richmond. Sin embargo el servicio de limpieza al cuarto es malo. No aspiran la alfombra y esto hace que se perpetúen olores. Un día no realizaron el aseo de la habitación a pesar de que a las 10 a.m. se quitó el letrero de do not disturb.

Run down but OK. Appears to be high end steakhouse on premise but service was awful and slow. They got my order wrong and didn't even check on me and I was at the bar area. Wouldn't recommend restaurant. Hotel was very rundown and dated.
