Beautiful views

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. The staff was friendly, the room was clean (albeit awkwardly shaped), and the location was convenient. However, my favorite thing about the room was the view of the city and the ocean!

Not a place to relax

Pros: Fast elevators
Cons: Improve room service
Location: It’s located in front of emergency care/hospital so ambulance sirens are bothering especially at night.
This hotel is in front of a hospital/emergency care, at least 4-5 times a night you’ll hear ambulance sirens plus weekends you’ll hear drunks walking on the streets yelling and …So not a good place to have a peaceful sleep. For 2 days my room was not cleaned which the 2nd night I had to call the front desk for clean towels.

Nice hotel centrally located in downtown

Nice hotel but beware of proximity to the hospital across the street which brings sirens deep into the night. And it is on a busy road that connects to the Burrard street bridge which also brings a lot of noisy cars. Bring ear plugs!

Noise from giant air vents outside the window

Pros: The pillows were very comfy.
Cons: Try to print something from their business center. Tried two different computers and couldn't connect. Wasted 30 mins and nothing printed.
Location: 5 mins from Robson Street, but it's an uphill walk to the hotel. If you use the subway a lot, I suggest you stay at a hotel on Robson or Georgia.
Stayed here for 3 nights. They put me in Room 962 the first night. I didn't get into bed until 1am that night. Once I got into bed with the TV turned off and with my ear on the pillow, I started to notice a loud humming noise. At first, I thought it was traffic but it was consistent and wouldn't stop. I then looked out the window and saw these giant air vents outside. I was on the 9th floor but these air vents were only a few floors down on a platform. The noise eventually died down and I was finally able to sleep. I woke up at around 5 and I could hear the noise again and it wouldn't go away, and I was never able to get back to sleep again. I called guest service and they said they were fully booked that night, but they would put me in a different room the next night. I had only a few hours of sleep that night, and I honestly think the first night should've been free. If they give you a room number ends with 61, 62 and 63 on a lower level, turn it down! I forgot to take a picture of those vents but I've attached a google earth screenshot of those vents. They moved me to the 20th floor for the next two nights. Housekeeping on the 9th floor definitely did a better job than the 20th floor. There was a hair on the toilet seat, there was no body wash and no pen on the desk in my 20th floor room. When you log into their wifi, they'll ask if you want to upgrade your wifi. It's tacky; you either provide free wifi or you don't. The free wifi was good enough for me.

Make sure you get what you book

We booked an ocean view room in the South Tower and got a non-view room in the North Tower. The room itself was fine. Specifically chose this hotel because it has a nice pool and spa. The whirlpool was broken and the pool so cold we got in and got right out.

Hotel staff were great but there were fleas in the room. Toilet blocked.

Cons: Time
I got there at 3:00 pm after driving for 5 hours. The front told my that your room is not ready and she would call me when it is ready. She called me one hour later when I was at the beach. Also I paid more than $400/night for the room to find out the next day that I have to pay to have breakfast. Finlay the parking cost me 40$ when it much cheaper in the parking lot just cross the street.

Convenient central location

Pros: Location close to art museum, restaurants, shopping. Easy walk to Canada place, Yaletown, aquabus
We were able to get to most locations we wanted to visit by walking or very quick taxi. Close to restaurants and shopping as well.
