Always love staying here! The beach, the shopping, Stanley Park, all the restaurants within walking distance. Safe place to park and also charge your electric car while here. Great entertainment every night in the lounge and the best view of English Bay for meals. We especially enjoyed the wonderful breakfast before checking out at noon.

The property is a beautiful peaceful gem from the days long gone by. The granite stairs and pink quartz are a powerful reminder of Vancouver's past. It resides in the perfect location beside the ocean and Denman.

Small hotel but nice. Room is clean. Bed is comfortable. Quiet area but also Close to everything: Stanley parks, downtown, shopping and restaurants. I would stay here again

Initially, we booked a two-day stay, but a few days later we returned and stayed for another five days. The hotel offers a friendly and quiet environment. The best things we did there were walking along the English Bay each morning and watching the sunset each evening.

The hotel’s location is great! Just a quick walk to Stanley Park entrance. A lot of restaurants and shopping around. Beach is right across the street. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. My only recommendation is to air freshen halls and rooms as it is a pet friendly hotel with some odors lingering around.

Wonderful hotel with a rich history. Great character with friendly staff. The Sylvia hotel restaurant and cocktail lounge is exceptional as well with beautiful views and unique drinks. Not the most modern but that is the point.

I love staying at the Sylvia. I've been coming here, off and on, for well over 30 years!! Yes, it is getting a bit old and you could get something finer elsewhere. But, it's charming. A stone's throw to the Stanley park sea walk. Nothing gets better!

This hotel is located in the perfect location and has everything you need... The room was really a small apt and the building is full of history. The proximity to the beach makes it the perfect place to stay in Vancouver. The restaurant is also great and has live music a few times a week.
