Clean hotel in a good location

Posted Aug 27, 2015
Pros: The price is reasonable, and pets are allowed.
Location: The location is very handy--adjacent to the Lions Gate Bridge, and near the freeway leading to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal.
While the building seems to be aging, and the bathroom is small, with only a shower, the room was clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly.

All you need

Posted Aug 27, 2015
This hotel has everything you need. Staff were extremely friendly. 10 minutes after getting my room the receptionist called to see if I was satisfied with the room and if she could do anything to make it more comfortable. Great service for a low-budget hotel!

Bit tired. Needs money spent on it.

Staff were fine. The hotel is showing its age. Particularly in the bathroom. Needs renovations.

Over priced room rate

Over price compared with quality of its facility. Old facility but still working fine.

Good location inexpensive

Good spot near bus route downtown and grouse mountain. Free coffee and tea in lobby. asked for wake up call and didn't receive it. Odd they still have smoking rooms though which is where I ended up so it was smelly.

Los cuartos son pequeños, no hay refrigerador, la atención del personal es regular. Hay cerca lugares para comer y comprar cosas básicas

Ok place, not nice looking.

Posted Aug 20, 2015
Pros: Did not enjoy my stay.
Cons: Needs updates and comfort. Also, someway to reduce the noise level. A more comfortable bed.
Location: The location was hard to find as tucked away at such a behind other buildings. Was even more difficult to get back out into traffic.
The bed was no better than a large rollaway cot. The mattress was hard and the noise level was bad as the building is old with thin windows. Air conditioner was way to noisy. Could not use the hairblower as it kept cutting out!

It is need of a remodel. Room was small. But comfortable beds. Bathroom was beat up. It did the job but I wouldn't stay there again. Staff was nice and the air conditioner worked well.

Some issues

Posted Aug 14, 2015
State one night and was graciously upgraded to a king bed. Room was fine if a little dated. But at 530 am to discover your hair dryer does not work and to be getting ready for a meeting is very inconvenient. I called front desk and he said he would have maintenance look at it, but they don't come in until 9am. I asked if he had a spare hair dryer which he didn't. I then asked if there was a room I could use to blow dry my hair. He got me one but it was very inconvenient to have to pack up, get dressed and go down to reception, get a key and come to a new room to blow dry my hair. The room was fine but overall not a great experience.
