Upgraded to a suite. Room was on the ninth floor. Next to the maintenance room. a huge noise every time the elevator ran. Very tired property.

Depends on your room...

Posted Sep 17, 2017
We stayed here twice.. Beginning and end of our trip. The first night the room had terribly stained carpet; the remaining couple of days we were given a better room. On our return to the hotel after our Alaskan trip, we were given an upgrade. A vast improvement! Pros: Close to 3 Asian malls, free shuttle, fast elevators, pleasant staff, window in room opens. Good dim sum restaurant attached to hotel. Aberdeen skytrain close to hotel, and Tim Horton's opposite skytrain station. Cons: Older unrenovated rooms are not pleasant. The renovated one, we stayed in, was a suite and more spacious. Lighting is not the best though and switches are confusing. Wish this could be fixed/changed going forward.

Convenient location

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: Convenient location - 5 minute walk to Skytrain Station Aberdeen on the Canada Line - transit allows access to rest of the city.
Location: In the heart of Richmond, BC, there are many Asian malls and restaurants nearby. It's also a 5 minute walk to the Skytrain station on the Canada Line.
My family had an 2 night stay here at the end of our Alaska Cruise. The hotel is very easy to get to after we disembark the ship. We took the Skytrain (Canada Line) from Canada Place Station to the Aberdeen Station - bookend by 5 minute walks at both stations. The hotel was able to give us an early check-in when we arrived at around noon. The hotel itself is clean, modern and is located at a very convenient location. It is across the street from Aberdeen Centre which is an Asian-centric mall. There are a number of smaller malls and plazas in the area, within walking distance, packed with Chinese restaurants (this is in Richmond after all!) - so lots of dining choices. The staff (both the front desk and the service staff) were friendly. At the last day of our stay, we were able to check-in our luggage (we flew out at night) with the front desk so we can spend another full day in the city. The front desk also offered a late (9pm) complimentary shuttle to the airport. There are only two negatives - 1.) we got a room facing the Skytrain rail so it was a little noisy as the trains went by especially with window opened - which lead to 2.) the air conditioning in our room malfunctioned when we arrived - but it was repaired the next day in the afternoon.

Convenient hotel close to Vancouver Airport

Posted Sep 11, 2017
Pros: Proximity to airport
Location: Easy train access to Vancouver city. Shopping mall across the street though shops mostly had Chinese character.
I stayed here while in transit for two nights. A convenient shuttle was available on demand both ways to and from the airport. The train to the city was available over the road making CBD access very easy. The rooms were comfortable and the in-house restaurant of good standard.

Convenient spot close to the airport

Posted Sep 10, 2017
A bit pricey for a one-night stay, but can't be beat in terms of convenience with the 24/7 shuttle to and from the airport. Makes it easy and panic-free to get to the airport for an early flight. Personally, I liked the king-sized bed with adjustable firmness!

Good hotel in downtown Richmond BC

Posted Sep 9, 2017
Pros: It is very conveniently located,
Location: It is 10 minutes from YVR airport, 2 minutes walk to the sky train station, 2 minutes from shopping centers and near restaurants. .
On check in I was upgraded to a comfortable suite with a good office working area. Parking is in full view of reception, so is both free and safe. Restaurant and bar staff were very pleasant. Internet worked well and was free, local phone calls cost 96 cents each. Everything in the hotel appeared to be in good working order.
