Pros: the host, we was just lovely and the location.
What a lovely guy Marious is, he couldn't do enough to help , it was a real pleasure staying there. Great double room with a shared bathroom, all very clean and well looked after. Good breakfast each morning, more than I could eat. Excellent location as just 1 min from the Tram Would definitely stay here again.

Great host and B&B.

Posted Sep 10, 2016
This B&B is conveniently located right next to the Valle Aurelia metro stop and the Vatican. We were in town for a 36 hour layover and the host, Maurizio, kindly gave us a great idea of where to go and what to see for our first time in Rome. The B&B is a 45 Euro taxi ride to either the FCO or the CIA airports. Breakfast was provided. The internet was fast. I would highly recommend this as a quick or a longer stop in Rome.

Excellent stay, would definitely recommend!

Posted Oct 26, 2015
Maurizio was an amazing host. He organized a driver to pick us up from the airport and as soon as we settled in he gave us a map and offered advice on where to go and transportation services around Rome. Breakfasts were great each morning. It was also our friends birthday during our stay and he was kind enough to provide us with birthday cake and refreshments to help make her birthday special. The BNB is extremely well kept and in a perfect location as it is walking distance from the Vatican and the Metro. Definitely would recommend Nonna Dea's...thank you so much Maurizio!!!

Outstanding traditional hotel at a great price!

Posted Sep 28, 2015
Pros: Very helpful and friendly owner, tasty breakfast, fast Wi-Fi
Location: Very near to the Vatican, and easy to get into Rome historic centre as located right next to a metro stop.
Nonna Dea is a traditional two-room B&B very near to the border of the Vatican City. While it may appear to be a bit of a walk from the traditional tourist sites, the apartment is actually only a 30-second walk from the Valle Aurelia metro stop, so you can get into the heart of Rome very quickly for around £1.15. The B&B is pretty much the opposite of a sterile travel hotel; what you have here is a genuine Italian home with plenty of character and personality. It's not ultra-modern, but it's cute and homely, and immaculately clean. The owner, Maurizio, who lives in the other side of the apartment, is pretty much the nicest chap you'll ever meet. Not only is he super-helpful with directions, information and ideas for places to visit, but he goes to enormous effort with the preparation of breakfast, which was top notch. Overall, staying with Maurizio was one of the highlights of our trip, so Maurizio, if you're reading this, a big thank you! (Tim & Sarah) Other important things to note: the Wi-Fi is very fast, the Vatican Museum is only a 10-minute walk, the bathroom is shared but only between two rooms, there is a free car park near the apartment, Maurizio speaks very good English.

Wonderful host

The area is a little frightening at first, lots of graffiti and difficult to locate. We stayed for four nights. Mauricio, our host, was amazing. He welcomed us with open arms, marked a map to be sure we hit all the highlights, and fed us absolutely heavenly breakfasts every morning. Honestly, Rome was not my favorite place, but Mauricio was definitely a favorite host!

Helpful and friendly

Posted Oct 12, 2014
Location: Vatican is 7 minute walk. Metro 2 minute walk to get to everything.
We arrived with non working visa, debit card because of a bank mix up. Maurizio on the phone was extremely helpful in getting us to his place via bus, train and walking. His place is right by the metro, no need for a car if you're here more than a couple of days. Again very helpful, he printed last minute Vatican tickets, stores to buy things and his phone to fix our credit cards. Breakfast is outstanding and filling. If your here for a visit this is a great stay.

Great location, close to the Vatican

Posted Jul 5, 2014
Pros: The location, the breakfast and Maurizio.
Location: The entrance to the Vatican Museum is about 700m away and we pretty much walked everywhere with a 9 year old and she coped with the walking well.
Maurizio was extremely helpful in suggesting what we could do each day with a young child. The B&B is close to the metro, the bus station, lots of restaurants, a supermarket and a really good gelato shop. The breakfast was also fantastic. Thanks Maurizio!

Like staying with a frind in Rome.

Posted Jun 27, 2014 on Hotels
This was our first time overseas. My wife and I spent a week here. It was our first time at a B&B. Lots of firsts. Our host was VERY accommodating and knowledgeable about Rome and was able to help us find our way around. It is very close to the subway and a short walk to the Vatican too. The BEST part about staying here was the breakfast. Every morning was a very nice spread of food that lasted us well into the evening. I would recommend a stay to anyone and would stay here again.
