Best Breakfast ever!

Posted Oct 12, 2017
Stayed only one night....last night in Rome. Hotel is beautiful and staff is wonderful. They organised a car for us to head to the airport the next day. the bartender is fantastic...makes a mean Negroni! Well located, just down the street from several nice restaurants. No view from our room, but the room was very comfortable...thankfully not many stairs to climb and an efficient elevator! Breakfast. was the best of the trip.....so many choices and barista coffee!

Lovely hotel with an old-world feel. About 1 mile walk to the Piazza de Popolo and just off the main boulevard along the Tiber river. Quiet at night, and a great breakfast in the morning. Rooms were compact but beautiful and comfortable. Front desk personnel very helpful.

DO NOT STAY HERE

Posted Sep 14, 2017
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for a week during our Europe vacation. If you are looking to visit Rome this is not ideal; Instead look more towards the city center. Here are our thoughts: Room: - the bed and pillows were hard, uncomfortable, and squeaky. There was a bed cover which likely didn't get cleaned during your stay and thin scratchy sheet for a blanket. - Although there was a big window the curtains were unmovable and blocked out most of the natural lighting - Fridge had several kinds of drinks but did not actually work and the drinks were not cold - High ceiling Bathroom: - there was no shower curtain so after every shower there would be a significant amount of water on the ground - There was a light that could not be turned off which was disruptive when one was trying to sleep - The bath/shower was rusty and some of the paint was falling off Breakfast: - Had a variety of things for everyone (fruit, bread, meats, cheese, bruschetta, croissants, eggs, bacon, etc) - Eggs and bacon were chewy, cold, and in general not very pleasant - Breakfast was from 7-10 so if you sleep in you're out of luck - Tables were nicely set Location/transport: - close to a metro station (2 blocks) - There are not many restaurants nearby so you have to walk around 10-20 min (~1 mile) to get anywhere good. - Close to the Vatican (15-20min walk) - Not a very touristy area

Nice hotel near Vatican City

Posted Sep 8, 2017
Pros: Quaint traditional hotel with a lovely little garden at the back. Loved the decor in the main part of the hotel, with lots of quiet sitting areas.
Cons: More helpful staff. Offer the use of an iron if needed & offer laundry service 7 days a week. Add more breakfast items.
Location: Walking distance to metro and Vatican City. Plenty of eating places and souvenir shops nearby. All the main visitor attractions easy to get to
Ok hotel close to Vatican City, restaurants and gift shops. Was looking forward to staying at the hotel judging from the description. Disappointed with the level of service provided by some of the staff. We asked for an iron & was told they don't provide them due to fire risk. They didn't offer laundry service over the weekend. Ended up having to go out & buy an iron. Had a few problems with the bathroom - water did not flow in the bath, which left you standing in a bath filling up when having a shower. The person who came to fix the plug hole tightened the cold tap too tightly, so my friend had to have a shower with very hot water. Breakfast was limited. Other than that we had an amazing time in Rome. Metro station is only 5 mins walk, easy to get to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and Colosseum. We had the 3 day Omnia card. Definitely recommend getting it, which lets you skip the queues and free access to 3 places of interest as well as unlimited travel on the metro, buses and hop on and hop off. Looking forward to going back to Rome....

Great location a block from the river.

Pros: Almost everything--location, clean, quiet, room was great.
Cons: Coffee/tea makers in each room
Beautiful room, very clean, very quiet location. Staff excellent. Breakfast very good. No complaints at all--only wish there was coffee/tea in the room, plus some more English channels on the TV!
