Charming small old hotel .we were given excellent advice about where to eat snd what to see to avoid all the touristy areas . Very helpful and friendly staff. Places were found for our bikes overnight . Small but comfy room . Excellent breakfast .

Stayed on the 3rd floor room 18, cute small room perfect size for me. Bed was clean and cozy. Sunlight was a bonus and AC was very efficient. Bathroom was in the hallway but it wasn’t a problem for me.

Clean, Economical, Good Location
Reception was friendly and helpful. Location very convenient for walking about Avignon. The room was spotless and the bed comfortable. I have NEVER seen a smaller ensuite and had to contort myself to sit on the toilet … likewise for the shower. But if you’re looking to save money to be able to spend on meals, sightseeing and shopping, this is a good option — just don’t plan on spending much time in your room except to sleep.

Very sweet hotel. Great location in Avignon for a good price. Bathroom was small, you can barely move in it. No lift up to the third floor. Breakfast was decent, the croissants were really fresh.

The property is best described as classic 60s, still in original form. It's basic but the staff are lovely, the air conditioning is quiet and the wifi is fast. The location too is very convenient. Try alternate booking options too for best deal

Small room but clean and convenient
Very small but nice room all in walking distance to shopping and restaurants. The correct parking spot was a challenge to find but was very close to my hotel. Close to bike rental so I cruised all around. Staff speak English well so it made it easier

Hotel Mignon was quiet and peaceful, but still very close to fun daily activities and active nightlife - the perfect location to explore and be within walking distance of everything. The owners were so kind and helpful, and gave us a map of the city. The room was small but comfortable, plenty large enough for our short stay. They even included an electric teapot and tea, which was lovely in the morning!

Very charming and well located in the old town. Quiet and relaxing. We visited here during a record heat wave, so maybe it was just our stay, but they could use more than one fan in the breakfast area. Be aware that there is no elevator in this hotel. Friendly staff, when they aren't chatting or on break. Great value and cleanliness.

Nice place in the heat
Location is fabulous, always with an old building it is not easy to make it convenient. In general staff were very good, the stairs not easy but hey, the good news AC was great in 42 Deg heat wave so thanks. Beds were comfortable, bathroom so small the toilet pointed into the room but usable.

Dark, dingy and poor state of repair. It is cheap but not so cheap that they could not afford to do some repairs and maintenance. For example renewing a shabby carpet and and mattress both of which looked as though they had done more than 25 years service!

Clean and Tidy inside Avignon

A petite treasure of a room
We arrived very late and the staff was so accommodating and pleasant. Lovely people. Room was super small, but clean and tastefully decorated.

the mignon Mignon!
Loved the hotel, great location, convenient, helpful, outgoing staff. "Leitha" (German intern) was charming and most helpful. The concierge (with tiny white dog) was a lovely chef and conversationalist at petit-déjeuner. Merci à toutes!

Shower room way to small
It looks great from the outside but the rooms have been carved up to make as many rooms as possible inside taking away the lovely character that is on the outside. I am a small person and I could not turn in the tiny shower room. It had a sliding door that opened when you sat on the toilet or tried to undress for the shower as it was that small. It had no fixed hinge on the bottom runner & you could see through either side into the bathroom door from the bedroom. I was staying with my adult son so you can imagine how uncomfortable this was. I asked to change rooms but was told I would have to pay extra. (They already charged me extra for two separate beds) after requesting this when I booked through ebookers. I hate to write a bad review but I payed a lot of money to feel so uncomfortable for my stay in Avignon

Thank you for your comment which as we hoped would be negative because we did not want to give you another bigger room for the same price even though we had already given you a room with two beds when you had booked a room with a bed and instead of paying an additional 10 € we charged you only 5 € extra. Then you saw that we had larger (and more expensive) rooms and you did not want to pay the difference. Our hotel is part of the hostsl in the historic center among the cheapest, so the rooms are also smaller; If they had been larger the price would also be higher. cordially catherine, manager hotel mignon

Great location
Top location and it's quiet at night. Staff were very knowledgeable on the region. The ikebana major downside was the bed bugs or insect bits I got from sleeping there. I'd stay here again on. The knowledge that the beds had been updated/cleaned.

A lovely little hotel. I had been staying in hostels so it was a welcome space to myself. Clean and comfortable. Toilet flush was a bit difficult to use and shower floods if you aren't strategic, but all in all it was great for what I needed.

Good location and good price.
Location is good, close to major sites. Room was clean and bed comfortable. However if you are bothered by noise when sleeping we found our room very noisy from the street. Room was very small and bathroom /toilet tiny and uncomfortable.

bonjour, Nous sommes désolés de ce désagrément, cependant nous avons aussi des chambres situées dans la partie ruelle piétonne et côté cour où il y a moins de bruit. Cependant il s'agit d'une rue où il n'y a pas de bar ni restaurant et la nuit c'est plutôt calme, c'est un peu plus animé durant la journée; Merci pour votre remarque

This tiny "boutique style" hotel was a huge disappointment. The front desk lady was pleasant and advised us where to park (about a mile away).We did not have parking even to unload our luggage in front of the hotel. The narrow stairs up to our room could barely accommodate the luggage. The room itself was very small, dingy and musky (despite the opened window)and the bed and bedding were appalling. The bathroom was grimy with thread bare towels. The hallway door did not securely shut. I wanted to leave immediately but I was unable to find other accommodations. It was something you would see in a movie about skid row housing. Disgusting!

L'immeuble date du 15è siècle et en effet les chambres avec des pierres et poutres apparentes ont une ambiance spéciale. Si vous n'aimez pas les antiquités je comprends votre désagrément. Il aurait suffit de nous le signaler et nous aurions fait le nécéssaire pour vous proposer une autre chambre. Je tiens à vous signaler que cette chambre est d'habitude très apprécié d'une certaine clientèles qui aime les antiquités et l'ancien. Concernant le linge, je suis étonnée de vos remarques, nous avons acheté l'hotel au mois de mai 2015 et nous avons rénové tout le linge de lit, actuellement l'hotel est en cours de rénovation complète. A pleasant little hotel near the centre of Avignon
We spent a couple of nights in this hotel. It was easy to find and not too far from Avignon Station (not the TGV station). The Pont d'Avignon and the Pope's Palace were nearby and everything was within easy walking distance. There was a good selection of restaurants just around the corner from the hotel and many more elsewhere in the town. The family room we stayed in (with 2 double beds) was small, but clean and tidy and was more than adequate for our needs. The continental breakfast was very good value, with fresh fruit and yogurt in addition to the usual croissant, bread and coffee.

Cosy hotel in a great location
I really enjoyed my week's stay at this little budget hotel. It's family-run and they keep the place clean and well-maintained. I coud wish they would replace the worn carpetting as that gave a bit of a shabby look to the place. My room was cosy, and the wireless worked well in the room. I loved being able to look out over the narrow street with it's little shops and pedestrians.

Exceptional Value for the Money!
The stay was great and the service was exceptional and very helpful. The only drawback is that there is no parking right in front for unloading but this is the case for most of the hotels in the narrow streets of Avignon.

We loved that this little hotel is situated in and very nice, but not too touristy part of Avignon. It is close to everything. Beds are comfy, it is not noisy and has air conditioning. Being a family business, it has a family feel about it. The french breakfast every morning was great and the staff are very helpful and friendly. Very good value for money. We would definitely stay there again. A lovely way to end our Europe holiday.

Decent budget hotel in good location
I stayed at Hotel Mignon for 2 nights while in Avignon. The hotel is located on a relatively quiet street and is about a 10 minute walk from the Avignon Centre train station. It is also located near the major sites which was convenient. While the room I had on the 3rd floor was spacious and clean, it smelled of stale cigarette smoke even though there is no smoking allowed. The bathroom was tiny but perfectly adequate. You do have to be creative while taking a shower so as to not get water all over the bathroom floor. As others have stated, there is no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. Also the room doesn't come with a hair dryer, but you can ask the front desk for one if you need it. This hotel is a good option for a quick, inexpensive getaway if you are using Avignon as a base to visit other cities in Provence.

This is a great place to stay to see the city. The people were very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was a little cramped, but very clean. You can't beat the price. The breakfast was fresh and just enough to get the day started. The manager even offered my husband a second huge cup of coffee.

We had a small room but a lovely view. Small shower/bathroom but that is expected. The hotel staff was really kind and helpful. A+ for the staff. Cons: no elevator so prepare to work your muscles to get to your stuff to your room up stairs.

A nice location but would not recommend
The room I had on the first floor was not very large, in fact you couldn't swing a cat. The bed was uncomfortable and I slept very badly, A very small bathroom and shower section, the shower head was not mounted you had to hold it. It was noisy too, the sound of flushing toilets and the kitchen just below.

We liked the fact that it wasn't modern, but still retained it's character and looked very French from the outside in particular. The owner was most helpful and helped carry our heavy suitcases upstairs.
