The hotel was in a terrific location. It was quiet and tidy. We had a pretty view. The staff was helpful, especially the bartender who cheerfully opened a bottle of wine for us that we bought at a local winery!

The rooms are too basic. We booked rooms that were described as having a desk and there was no desk. It would have been impossible to fit in. Rooms were clean but VERY small. The air con was very noisy (couldn’t sleep with it on) so we had to just sleep with the window open and the noise that goes with that when your room over looks the restaurant area. The bar/restaurant staff were very pleasant. Some of the front of house - less so and borderline rude when we were asked on checking out if there were any issues. I said the rooms were very small and misrepresented in the description. They just said it was Expedia’s fault. Great location and the town is lovely. I would not stay again because of the issues described above but Avignon is lovely.

A good stay at a reasonable price
A good well run hotel. The location is very close to the Palace of the Popes and within the city walls. Rooms very clean as was the rest of the hotel. Buffet Breakfast had a bonus of scrambled eggs, bacon and sausages in addition to the usual "Continental" breakfast items. Tea was available but you made your own teabag from the selection of teas and infusions available if that was preferred to coffee.

The staff was excellent. Especially Lucas and Julie checking-in. The breakfast was wonderful. Rooms were very nice. Don't believe the staff at the train station. Its a 30 minute walk with luggage but a straight route, close to the river and easier without luggage. Beautiful area

The property is in a wonderful location and the rooms are very comfortable, clean and quite. Excellent restaurant staff and very good food. All in all this hotel is a gem and the front desk team goes out of their way to welcome you and make you comfortable during your stay. Highly recommend it.

The Hotel was very well located, the room needs to get new carpets. The carpet is very dirty and the A/C didn’t work, the weather is starting to be very warm in Avignon. Fabrizio from the Lobby was super nice,

Centrally Located Hotel
Centrally located hotel close to Palais des Papes. We had a very quiet room overlooking the courtyard. The checkin staff was great, gave us some excellent restaurant tips and things to do inside and outside of Avignon. Parking was in a public parking which was a little pricey but 20% discount. The parking was v busy but if you park at the end of the parking where the hotel is its quite quiet and not difficult to find a place.

Weird reception lady, otherwise an okay hotel
An older building with rooms that need updating, but the proximity to the Cité is great. Biggest issue was the lady at reception who had rather off-putting behaviors. The hotel did not respond to three queries about the availability of elevators via Hotels.com messaging and email, so I called the front desk to ask by phone. The older woman was very defensive about not answering my question ("I remember you asked me the question by email, but you haven't given me a chance to respond yet before calling") even though there was nothing in my tone to suggest that I was displeased. I didn't even bring up that I had emailed her--she simply remembered that I had. Fast forward to check-in day, she refused to give us two room keys (one for each of the two adults), and instead gave us a card that couldn't open the door but could still be put in the slot in the room to keep the lights on. She claimed that this would save electricity, which is entirely nonsensical, but we were tired and didn't feel like arguing.
