Chalet feel hotel

While I highly rate the hotel itself and all the staff, I found the standard room far too small (our luggage hardly fitted in with us). We could hear absolutely everything all rooms surrounding us were doing, plus everyone coming up and down the stairs as well as those in the jacuzzi. The hotel itself is stunning and has the feeling of being in a chalet but next time I will stay in a suite where there is more room and hopefully less surrounding noise.. I would also request a room on a level higher than the first floor! The restaurant downstairs also serves great dinner, bit expensive but everywhere in the village is.

We stayed one day in June visiting a school for our son. The Hotel le Grand Chalet is perfectly located close to the school and town. The rooms were clean with spectacular views of the Alps. Breakfast was very good and the staff very friendly and spoke English well.

Pretty good but it's a bit of a walk

Nice place - staff are helpful if not particularly friendly. Breakfast was above average for a 3 star hotel. The rooms were pretty good too although some had upgraded bathrooms whilst others were left in 1970s brown. The main drawback is that it is a long walk uphill from the slopes and the village - nearer a km than 50m (the 50m from slope would only occur in the event of a new ice age!). However, there are ski and boot lockers in the gondola building which means things aren't too difficult.

This is a great Hotel for peace and quiet. The views are fantastic, the staff very friendly and very confortable and clean rooms. Just what you would expect for a Swiss chalet hideaway hotel. Our evening meal on the terrace was very good and the views are dramatic.

Magnificent Scenery

Pros: Scenery,food,service,location
We stayed here in Summertime. For us, this hotel was fantastic. If you are looking for a small authentic Swiss hotel set in the mountains then this is for you. The views from your hotel room are magnificent. Pictures shown on site are very accurate. The bar and resturant areas are all wood finished which gives great affect and both have terras offering the glorious views. You also have the benefit of the hot-tub in the outside bar-area terras!! We were given a warm welcome and good local advice by the owners in English. Be aware though of the French resturant waiter giving his un-intentional version of Basil Fawlty which we thought was very amusing. He did do a good job though.

La gestione familiare dell'hotel ti fa sentire come a casa tua. Posto incantevole, punti di forza la simpatia e la gentilezza.
