"The central place to stay in Basel. Right next to the central train station. Staff is very helpful and professional. It was not a problem at all to switch to a room with separate beds on short notice. Only stayed one night with an early departure by S-Bahn."

"The Arrow Hotel has become our regular stopping point on our two day journey from the UK to Italy. It is ideally positioned close to the main border crossing into Switzerland, so enables us to stay close to our route without any unnecessary detour. The facilities are good, enabling us to bring food to eat in our room, or popping out to one of the restaurants located close by. The rooms are a good size and most include ‘Nespresso’ type coffee machines, a fridge and en suite facilities. The A/C is extremely effective. The beds are comfortable, dogs are welcome, and the 2 French Lads who own the hotel and man the main reception could not be more polite and helpful. All this makes The Arrow an ideal stopping place on our journey."

"Spent three days here and would return. We interacted with various hotel staff at reception and throughout. All were more than helpful at check in and assisting in questions throughout the stay. Rooms were very clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast buffet was varied and generous. The rooms were on the small side, but probably more a European feature. We came from the airport by taxi--I did not see a place for parking, but the bus stop is right out front and takes you directly to the train station."

"Really nice place to use as a base. Location is perfect for exploring Basel. Facilities were clean and perfectly functional for our needs. The breakfast was ample, with a good variety of fresh food and drinks. There is a bit of a walk from reception to the room but not excessive and does involve a couple of flights of stairs. Breakfast is on the 8th floor which you can get to by lift. From here you have lovely views over the city. The staff were always helpful when we had questions. Would recommend for a budget friendly option with great location."
