Quiet stay in the DosoduroPosted Jul 22, 2015
Pros: All the above!
Cons: ac needed for the corridors.
Location: Right next to Accademia. Guggenheim down the street. 20 mins walk St Marks. 5 mins restaurants of S Barnaba. lots of great free exhibitions nearby.
Close to vaporetto stops at Accademia and Zattere and a good position for exploring Venice. Staff friendly and reception speak good English. Restaurant attached. Good buffet breakfast. Room 'compact' but well maintained. Good wifi connection plus fridge with comp drinks on arrival. Occupancy high so reputation must be good. If you're going for the Biennale they do discount tickets: 17E instead of 25E.

Good Tourist Hotel in Great LocationPosted May 23, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel was fine for a three star European Hotel. Room was small and the bathroom extremely small. The shower was perhaps the smallest we have ever used. You had to tuck your elbows in when moving around in the shower otherwise your elbow would hit the faucet control that in turn would turn off the water. The reception personnel were excellent with many suggestions for restaurants and using the transportation system (water buses). Nice breakfast. We had a front room that was quiet after 10 p.m. Hotel is half a block from the Grand Canal and very near the Peggy Guggenheim museum.

Lovely stay. Older style rooms but very comfortable and close to ferries. Great breakfasts.

Friendly cosy hotel in perfect yet calm locationPosted May 21, 2015 on Hotels
This hotel has the nicest, friendliest and most accommodating staff I've ever encountered on a journey. Small, slightly cramped but cosy with good breakfast and a very nice terrace on the top floor. Perfect location close to the Accademia bridge and between vaporetto stops on either side of the street (Giudecca channel on the outside and Canal Grande on the inside). The street comparatively free of the massive tourist hoards, and mostly quiet at night.

Ein komfortables, charmantes Hotel in idealer LagePosted Apr 13, 2015 on Hotels
