zona comoda per raggiungere i principali luoghiPosted Aug 23, 2012 on Hotels
buona posizione, bella struttura in stile veneziano, camera pulita ed accogliente, mancanza di servizio reception, colazione potrebbe essere più varia ed abbondante

FantasticPosted Jun 30, 2012 on Hotels
It was great! We had a really nice 2 room suite. There wasn't any light in the bedroom but it wasn't a problem during our 2 night stay.
Very close to Grand Canal and Rialto BridgePosted Jun 21, 2012 on Hotels
The location was very convenient to shopping, restaurants and the water bus. Our room was simple (no frills), clean and reasonably priced. The bathroom had been recently modernized with a large 2 person shower. VERY rare in Italy! The manager was so nice and carried our luggage up all the stairs for us! And, for breakfast, he made great cappuccinos to go with a nice selection of pastries and yogurt. We slept well because the air conditioner worked really well - cooled the room down in 20 minutes. I would recommend this B & B to friends.

Alloggi al MercantePosted Mar 2, 2012 on Hotels
My husband and I stayed here Feb. 16, 2012 for 1 night. We had the junior suite. It was a great room! Had 2 full baths! Everything was clean and comfortable. The hotel only has 6 rooms so it is quiet. There was only one other couple there. There is no elevator (lift) so be prepared for some stair climbing. The junior suite is on the top floor (3rd floor). The bedroom is in a loft area so there are more stairs to get to it. My husband and I didn't mind because we are distance runners and love to be active. Most of the rooms are on the 2nd floor. They have a breakfast in the mornings. It consists of coffee and croissant. It was good. Pretty much a typical European type breakfast. You don't have to leave your key and the desk and there is keypad on the entry door to lobby . They will give you a code number so you can come and go as you please. You just have to ring the doorbell when you first get there to check in. They will hold your luggage for you if your room isn't ready or you have late departure flight and want to sight see. It is close to the Rialto Bridge and the fish market. You will not smell the fish market from the hotel so don't worry. I would recommend but only if you don't mind stairs. I would stay there again. Hope to stay there again. I love Venice!

Rooms are small but adequate. However, I was very dissapointed with the included "Italian style breakfast" which consisted of a piece of bread and a cup of coffee or juce. Read cancelation policy closly, I left one day early and still had to pay for my unused night.

Small friendly hotelPosted Jun 20, 2010
We spent a couple days of our honeymoon at Allogi al Mercante and were overall satisfied. The staff is friendly and accommodating and the hotel is clean... The decor is typical Venice shabby chic... Great location for the price!!!
