Excellent Hotel, close to San Marco square

Posted May 20, 2017
Pros: Excellent room, great location
Hotel is outstanding. Location is less than 5 minute from Realto bridge and very easy to find (unlike other addresses in Venice). Very close to San MArco square. The rooms are big, tastefully decorated and have all the amenities you need. The bathrooms are outstanding. Breakfast is great.

Location is everything!

Perfect location 1-2 minutes away from Ferry stop off the Grand Canal. It was very convenient for us arriving from the Venice train station, there's also a Ferry service right there that'll take you to the airport. The major sites of St Mark's square is less than 8 minutes away. The staff were all very accomadating.

Great Venice hotel

Posted Apr 23, 2017
The Commedia is ideally located to walk to all the main attractions in Venice. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful especially with providing directions to various places including great recommendations for restaurants. The roof-top bar is a great place to end a days walking with an extremely refreshing G & T. Will definitely return to the Commedia when next in Venice.

Honeymoon trip in Venice

The hotel exceeded our expectations. It was gorgeous looking from the moment we walked in, and the staff was both welcoming and helpful. It's in a great location and the room itself was extremely comfortable and updated, and fairly large.

Location: Close to Piazza San Marcos, Stores, Restaurants, Bars, everything at walking distance

Beautiful hotel near Rialto

Posted Apr 10, 2017
We fell in love with this hotel as its close proximity to Shopping , Restaurants, Theatre and San Marco square is just wonderful. We enjoyed night walks and didn't want to leave. The hotel serves breakfast everyday and there is a rooftop bar to lounge for a wonderful nightcap. Great place !!

Perfect location

Just two minutes walk from the Rialto bridge means great transport links and places you in the heart of the city. The hotel was the perfect place to stay. The staff were friendly - especially Emmeulle (probably the wrong spelling) who was the man in charge at breakfast. He paid particular attention to our 3yr old daughter and even made her a lotus flower out of a napkin. She loved it!! All the staff were very friendly. The room was large, well equipped and clean. The bed was very comfortable too. Overall, we had no complaints whatsoever and would go back there in a second... Thank you A LA Commedia.

Great Location

Well located, really close to a Vaporeto (water busses) stop. It is in the heart of Venice, walking distance to San Marco Square, and really good restaurants close by.

A gem, perfectly placed for sightseeing.

Posted Mar 24, 2017
A great hotel in a perfect position for sightseeing and very close to the Rialto Bridge boat stop. Staff are friendly and helpful, and the little extras such as the turnover service make it. Some rooms are smaller than you would expect compared to larger more expensive hotels but they are beautifully decorated and clean with very comfortable beds. If you are a gin lover you must visit, their choice of gins is fantastic and you will be fascinated just looking at the bottles. Of course trying some of the unusual ones is a bonus but your wallet may feel it! A lovely stay and we would not hesitate to go back.

Lovely clean hotel, great staff, good food. Perfectly situated near shops and a round the corner to a small supermarket for snacks and drinks
