The location was fine, safe and quiet. Other than that very disappointed. When I arrived after hours found my key in the coded key box following the instructions. However the towels left on my bed were damp. Room and toilet very small but this is maybe normal for Venice. Only 2 pillows provided and they were very flat and hard. The place is badly in need of a makeover. The bathroom was grungy, mould on the tiles. Shower stall was tiny and the shower fixture was falling off the wall. The breakfast was very disappointing and very poor selection, not very appetizing (one offering looked like sliced up hot dogs). Overall not impressed. Would not recommend.

The location of the property was fairly decent. But unfortunately the photos shown are not exactly what one should expect. Gaining access to the room was good as we arrived after check in and the staff was somewhat quick to reply when emailed. The rooms overall were a bit disappointing though. A lot of things need some attention

Hotel Acca is in a convenient location. Campo San Polo is easily accessible & a reasonable walk to interesting areas. The hotel is more of a bed & breakfast with a simple, traditional breakfast buffet available in the morning. Helpful, but not anything outstanding. Staff are gone by about noon. Elena who cares for the rooms is considerate and wants you to be pleased. However, my experience with the manager was dreadful. I had selected this hotel because it said it has AC. However, it didnt work. When I told (called) the mgr, he said I was simply trying to get out of my reservation and argued on the phone with me that it was working while I dripped with sweat in my room. I advised that he come by in the morning and experience the heat for himself. I was informed that next morning the AC was being repaired It then worked that day, and stopped again. I was provided a floor fan. That is not what i was paying for. But no reduction for my 10-day reservation was offered. Instead, 6 days into the 10-day reservation, he charged my credit card for all 10 days, and overcharged me by 44 euros. When I required the correction to be applied to my card, he said it couldnt be done by him - I'd have to contact Travelocity. Bogus. I pressed and he finally instructed the staff onsite to pay me in cash. Initially only 30 euro was given, but I required the full 44 and did receive it. Due to the manager's business practices and disrespectful treatment, I will not visit this hotel again.

Excellent!
Our stay was about 4 nights, and it was incredible. A quiet hotel, near to the heart of Venice, with friendly staff and clean rooms. They served breakfast and coffee downstairs in the morning, which was a wonderful addition. The staff was extremely pleasant, and accommodating. If we return to Venice, this will most definitely be the hotel I book again!

The room was comfortable and clean enough with a large shower. Breakfast was served every morning and there is a nice garden space outside to eat it. A bit of a language barrier with the staff but they were helpful. It is located on a nice little square but it was not super close to the main attractions. Very quiet. As is anything in Venice, it is a little tricky to get to but it got easier to figure out.

Decent but not worth the money
This was a decent place to stay the shower is way to small the hall way to get to the room had a large vacuum cleaner laying on the floor the door frame to our room was loose and had day light showing on the top. The breakfast and breakfast area was nice and the bed semi comfortable. The price was to high the residenza cadora across the way was a much nicer room, bathroom, shower and host for almost half the cost

Extremely please with the site and the owners. Cute hidden entrance in SanPolo, very convenient to walk to every single place in Venice. 15mins from train station. Sleeps 4 in two queen size beds.

There were several problems with the hotel and our room, notably, rusty plumbing and a lack of a towel bar in our bathroom and soap dish in the shower. Also, stained carpet, smelly blanket and a nonworking TV. No available staff after midday and no contingency plan/notice in case of an emergency.

Convenient quiet hotel in need of TLC
Hotel well situated for Rialto bridge etc..in quiet area by very big but quiet square. Our room was big enough though old fashioned, however cold. Management turned off heating in April although still chilly weather. Upon asking, was given old blanket (not even big enough to cover full bed) the following day as no one at reception after 3pm. Inconvenient. Other customers who phoned one evening to complain about their cold and damp room didn't have any answer, however were offered different room the following day. Safe in wardrobe didn't work. Breakfast was in cramped conditions in reception area (unfortunately weather not warm enough to have breakfast outside in courtyard which would have been pleasant). Breakfast plentiful but not great quality: undrinkable oversweet fruit juices, very sweet cakes, savoury food just ok but prepared day before and kept in fridge. Service by 2 pleasant ladies helping good however. Overall disappointed as expected better from reviews read.

Great location, beautiful outside entrance.
Can be a little challenging to find. This is an economical hotel. Friendly staff.Nice breakfast included. Staff is only present for half the day, so be sure to get extra pillows, blankets, toilet paper, etc if needed early. Quaint room. My room in particular had a shower that was part of entire bathroom floor..which I know can be common in Europe. But it does take a while to dry, and a musky scent is present, naturally. Bed was firm. Just a heads up on all of that. Overall, good stay.

This is not a hotel. This is a bed and breakfast with unavailable hosts. For the price you can find a better located hotel with staff that will be accessible and friendly.

It was terrible,u shld not be recommending it to pple. The room had stains all over the carpet n bed cover.they were lots of mosquitos that kept us up all night.in general,cleanliness is very poor.there was no one at check in and at check out. I cld go on n on.....

This was our first stay in venice, and selected this place due to location, price, and the fact that it does have its own bathroom. the first room we got had mold on some walls, and ants in the room. after we changed the room it was better. no mold and no ants. the shower was tiny, but the rest was ok.

The hotel staff were nice and friendly. The room however was very average, the bed was two singles pushed tougther and was very hard. The shower was just a basic curtain that pulled around and the shower head sprayed everywhere so the whole bathroom flooded. The location of the hotel was nice, but Venice is so small anywhere would work.

You Can't Beat the Price
This is a great hotel for the price! If you're only going to need a place to stay, this is the place for you! It has everything you would need or expect from a hotel in that price point. The room was ready for our check in at 0900 and the staff even offered us complimentary breakfast. The hotel is located away from the huge touristy areas of VenIce and really close to nice local shops.

Misleading Pictures for Some Badrooms
The room we stayed in for the first night wasn't the same as the pictures shown on the website. After we discussed with the manager, he agreed to change the room which was the same shown on the website for the second night.

The best thing about the hotel is the location. It's great if you're looking the basics, nothing fancy and just need a decent place with a good location to stay at, this place is meets that objective. It's very quaint and has tables outside to relax in.

The hotel was in a nice location, and had a nice feel. But, when you book a quadruple room you do expect it to have 4 beds, or at least have the capacity to accommodate said number of beds. They had crammed an extra bed into the room, which then occupied most of the available floor space. At least the air conditioning worked, helpful when it was plus 35 degrees

Surprise Entry
We could never expect that the Hotel would be closed and actually there will be no one to receive at the Hotel and assist in the accommodation!!!!!!!! But things were organised and had not much of hassles to settle!!! The directions were well served by the people taking care of the Hotel!!! Overall, the experience was good!!! The surprise to expectations was also a lifetime experience !!! We loved that!!!

Great location! Good breakfast, eggs, marmalade croissants, cereal, juice, pastry, cheeses. Limited hours for check in. Proprietor only there part of the time. Pillow was bloodstained (under pillow case - had been washed). Hotel left sign to place towels that you would like replaced on the floor and they would be replaced. Problem was, they only replaced the hand towels, not the bath towels. So the 2nd day, we had NO bath towels. Other than those minor issues, hotel was good. Did I say Great location? Great location! Family of 3 on vacation.

Quiet hotel offers a great sleep
good location although it is on a hidden lane which not many people know, it is 10 mins walking to Rialto Bridge or St.Marco. Very quiet and cozy hotel offers you good sleep except insects in room and lot of mosquitoes around...Maybe hotel can do sth for that....very friendly and helpful owner. Except a lot of bites on me, Overall it is a good stay.

It's okay..
We got what we expected from a one star hotel, we only needed something for two nights since we were traveling a lot during the day but the room was lacking for better words, the shower head had mold all over it, the toilet seat was missing, there was a joke in the wall, the staff was very caring and polite which is nice but this hotel is good enough for a night or two.

Good stay
The place felt very safe. I think they fixed this from before but they give you a key so you can enter the gate anytime. The front desk is very limited hours but for the most part it's not really a problem. The location was central to Venice but I felt like it wasn't very convenient to any place; you have to walk at least 10 minutes to get anywhere. It's about 15 minutes walk from St. Lucia station though, so it's not too bad getting there and leaving. The room was good for the price and clean. The only thing was the bathroom gets all wet when you shower because the shower is in the middle and only covered with a curtain. The breakfast was the best one we had in Italy. They had some pasta, eggs, bread, and more. They also made us some fresh cappuccinos.

Rooms too small
Rooms are too small. I booked a quadruple room and was completely jam packed, no room to walk. Looks like they fit two additional single bed in a regular room. Bathroom has no space to hold soap/shampoo. You can barely fit/stand in the bathroom of this particular room which they sold us as quadruple room. We are relatively thin so we managed but if you are fat, I guarantee you will not be able to get in the shower or be able to take bath. My guess is that this was not a quadruple room that we paid for.

Venice Hotel
The hotel was basic and typically someone is not onsite except during breakfast. You receive your keys via an outside box and a phone number is left inside for you to call with questions or concerns. Breakfast was simple and internet was very poor with issues every day. It's a one star hotel so not much was expected, and not much was received. The room was hot and opening the window invited unwanted mosquitoes.

Good Location but....
The location is great and was within walking distance of everything and was easy to find. The room could use a little deep cleaning though. Also, upon arrival the room was stifling hot but we couldn't get the air to work so we opened the windows, which was fine with the cool breeze, but the mosquitos feasted on me. The first morning, the attendant was making breakfast and had so many appliances plugged into the same outlet that it overloaded the circuits and power was lost for about 10 minutes, but that also caused my power convertor to overheat and it is now useless. The last morning, there was no hot water at all so we all took cold showers. I wonder if the water heater was damaged from the previous day's power problems? Anyway, I told the morning attendant on our way out the door to the airport about the lack of hot water, but I didn't get a really sincere sense of concern.

Lumpy in Venice
Poor Choice to stay in. Went for an Anniversary trip. 2 beds pushed together, lumpy mattress with no mattress padding. Could feel were the 2 mattress touched together. Furniture in room was broken and in disrepair. No A/C, Internet did not work the whole 3 days we were there, but hotel staff were on their Laptops at the main desk like nothing was wrong. When we kept asking when it would be up and running, we were told "it was down for another 24 hours". Due to lack of A/C, had to sleep with the windows open for fresh air and the mosquitoes came to sleep in our room with us!!!! On the upside, the location was terrific. Most major attractions were within walking distance of 5-10 minutes. Breakfast was poor selection of stale bread/pastries with jelly or Swiss cheese with ham slices and coffee or juice.

We had a nice stay, the hotel was only a few minute walk to the rialto bridge and easy to find. NIce quiet location, but close enough to walk everywhere, or catch the boat from Rialto market or Rialto bridge. We really only needed the hotel to sleep so it was sufficient enough. The kids liked having wifi when we got back in the evening.
