Quiet, well run hotel near Venice landmarksPosted May 30, 2015
Cons: Actual property address is near Teatro La Fenice, on Calle da Verona. (Touristy neighborhood, but quiet w/good restaux nearby.)
First, a few caveats: no elevator (could be an issue in some cases) & address as listed on Expedia is unclear, so e-mail for directions! Ca'Alvise is a pleasant, attractive property in a handy location, with good breakfasts, fast internet access & competent staff. The baroque/rococo (Murano) touches are a kick. Very enjoyable stay.

Great hotel in the middle of everything in Venice.Posted May 6, 2015 on Hotels
We had a great stay at Ca'Alvise. The staff was wonderful and provided great service during our 3 day stay. The hotel is perfectly situated just a short walk (5-10minutes) from the Grand Canal and Piazza San Marco. They also booked and found a very nice restaurant for us. They also booked a Gondola pickup and ride to very close to that restaurant.

The hotel located at the must visited spotPosted Apr 11, 2015
Even location is very good but it is silence at night. Very friendly staff at reception counter. The real place is better than their photo.

Dated hotel located near St. Mark's SquarePosted Mar 18, 2015
This was our first time to Venice. The hotel is a little tricky to find, you will definitely need a map and to ask directions when you arrive via water taxi to St. Mark's Square. Also if you have a lot of luggage it will be a workout as there are several bridges you will need to navigate. The front desk attendant was friendly and our room was ready on our arrival. Decor is a little dated and there is no elevator (ONLY 3 FLOORS), but again if anyone in your party has mobility issues this could be a challenge. Breakfast was included and offered quite a nice variety of options. The only real "issue" was that the mattress was extremely hard and had divets in it so not very comfortable. We only stayed 2 nights so it wasn't that big a deal but for a longer stay may not be good.

Great value and located.Posted Mar 9, 2015 on Hotels
Ideal location for us, easy to walk to Rialto and St.Marco. water bus number 1 stops at St Angelo which is a three minute walk. Hotel is clean and tidy, room was very big and decorated in veneician style, big bathroom with a jacuzzi style bath. The beds were two singles pushed together which is the common thing in Italy but it does give you a ridge down the middle but it was very comfy. Breakfast was good and all staff were polite and helpful. Highly recommend for the price.
