séjour du 20 au 24 sept 2016

Posted Oct 11, 2016

Waste of Money - Unfriendly Staff - Cold Rooms

Posted Oct 10, 2016
Pros: Nothing
Cons: 1) Customer Service 2) Room Heating 3) Breakfast 4) Kettle and Iron in rooms 5) Room decoration
Location: Located about 30 seconds from the main street and 20 walk to San Marco.
My wife and I stayed in this hotel for our 3 nights break in Venice. I wish we had booked else where. The rooms look nothing like they do in the pictures. On the first night our flight landed at 23:00 so got to the hotel by midnight. It had also rained that night so we were wet when we got to the hotel. Once in room we found that the A/C & Heating unit was not working so I went down to speak with the front desk who rudely said there is nothing they can do at that time but will sort something out the next day. Since being tired after the flight we fell asleep on the 2 x single beds joined together to make a double bed. We explored Venice the whole day and then on the hotel for the second night and yet again the room was freezing and there was no heating in the room at all. We checked the temperature of the room on our phone and it was 12 degrees. Which we though was unacceptable given this is meant to be a 4 star hotel. We once again went to complain at the front desk who now said that the heating is controlled by the main hotel central heating which is switched on in November. So then we asked for more blankets to keep warm to which the receptionist said you already have 2 which is enough! Extremely rude way to talk to guests. My wife had then caught a cold after sleeping in very cold conditions for 2 nights. Hotel provides a very poor customer service and the fact that did not try and resolve the heating issue was very disappointed. **NO WAY A 4 STAR HOTEL** KEEP AWAY

Pros: Just the location and the decor but it really needs to be restored
Cons: INTERNET!!! THE TOILETTE FROM OUR ROOM its a JUNIOR SUITE ROOM we expect it to be more than what we paid for
Location: there is a really good restaurant near by called Al Cantinon it was the BEST restaurant i went to when i was in venice! It has great reviews as well
(HOTEL CA' VENDRAMIN D SANTA FOSCA) SEPT 26-28 2016 INTERNET: VERY POOR!!! they have been days before we checked in trouble with the internet and yet until we checked out they haven't solve it. they kept on saying some one will go there to check but it was worst!!!! LOCATION: EXCELLENT ROOM: JUNIOR SUITE *the room needs to be restored! especially FOUL door coming from the TOILETTE! we can barely use the toilette in our room because of the terrible smell we have to go down to use another toilette its not reasonable to pay more and to have this kind of service! i complained the toilette and they tried to put some chemicals it got worsen the smell became more powerful we use the air freshener but it really won't take away the smell.! THE DECOR: it was really nice but it just need to be restored since most of the side walls seemed to be very old. THE STAFF: friendly staff

Good hotel away from the hassle and bustle

Posted Sep 28, 2016
Pros: Location away from the hustle and bustle and its unique charm
Cons: In need of refurbishment in bathroom.
Location: Not in the heart of tourist Venice but a street away from the hustle and bustle.
Hotel with striking interiors, efficient check in with comfortable room. Off the beaten track but not too far from all the sights in Venice which adds to the charm. Breakfast was sufficient but limited hot options. Helpful staff although sometimes missing from reception with a desk bell that didn't work. If you are looking for a full service hotel with restaurant and bar this isn't it, however it's boutique nature encourages you to get out and about in Venice with all the joys of getting lost and stumbling across local bars and restaurants. In summary, this is a pleasant hotel with bags of character in need of some tlc.

Slightly off the beaten path, very historic

Staff gets an A+ Room was two stories but still small. Bathroom was large but the blow dryer was broken (bummer but no biggie). Location was awesome for easy walkability and transportation to the airport.

3 nights in a great area

Posted Sep 14, 2016
This hotel is a bit out-of-the-way - but worth it if you are staying in Venice for more than a night or two. Tilly is an amazing source of information! Great time! For travel, here's a tip - go to Plaza Roma (meeting place of all busses, train station right there), hire a hotel porter - cost $25euro, he'll load your bags on his cart and navigate you through streets to your hotel (about 20-25 minutes) worth struggling to find the right navigation to this quiet beautiful hotel!
