It was a nice hotel in a convenient area, near to train station and metro station. The welcome from the staff was not nice. It was a raining day and they wasn’t kind and empathyc.

Worst hotel ever!
The tiny room, couch cushions on rails on the floor for our teenage daughters and bathroom with no counter were lovely in comparison with the lack of air conditioning in 90 degree, very humid weather that was promised and paid for. The “repair man is waiting for a part” excuse and shrugged shoulders for 3 days after being promised it would be fixed repeatedly was intolerable. Don’t stay here! They offered to give us dinner one night but from the lack of cleanliness in the place, we couldn’t risk it. Worst hotel ever!

I had an incredible experience at this place. The staff was extremely friendly and the location was very convenient. Additionally, the breakfast served was quite decent.

The hotel was horrible. First of all, it was infested with bedbugs! The bites kept us up all night so we were unable to sleep and the itching and burning sensation has lasted us days. The size of the room for 4 people was very unreasonable and the bathroom was unsanitary as well.

Terrible experience! Lazy and unhelpful staff who are not willing to help in any way. When you finally get a little bit of service they give you wrong information! The hotel is difficult to get to, and VERY difficult to find a taxi coming back. The hotel is falling apart and room is not what you see in the photos, much worse and not well-maintained. The hotel is not recommend it to anyone

Great location but issues inside
Place is very run down such as showers and bed frames. Wasn’t a big deal because of the stellar location till the last night we had bed bugs. Hotel staff was nice and the room was cleaned every day. Can’t pull a positive experience when you wake up with bites

BED BUGS
This hotel is infested with bed bugs. The staff is unfriendly and difficult to work with. I had to leave in the middle of the night to find another hotel because the bed bugs had infested everywhere: towels, sheets, mattress, carpet, wall paper. Please do not risk your safety by using this hotel.

I chose this hotel for its location and price. It’s a budget hotel and size and condition is substandard but reasonable for the time I stayed there. The staff Abdul and Hotel Manager was great in getting us settled in and answering our questions. The best part was it’s location and view. We could get anywhere we wanted to go. Don’t expect 5 stars when you pay for 2 star hotel and you will be happy here.

Not bad
In general hotel room was not ideal but OK, furniture was old, room was cleaned every day, no problems with TV, air conditioning and hot water. The carpet on the floor is old and I would remove it from the room. I will note the good location of the hotel and breakfasts.

When we first got here we had an incredible experience, staff was friendly and the area is beautiful. However when we woke up, we found bedbugs all over our bed and clothes. We then spoke to the receptionist who didn’t take any action and was incredibly rude. Overall i would not recommend.

Please be aware that the information on this property is not accurate. They do not have a shuttle from the airport. The Wi-Fi does not work if you are not in the main hotel building. The rooms were quiet and location was good. However the shower was moldy. Make sure that you are aware of these things before you book.

The first floor rooms are in bad shape. The staff had plastic cups over the drains in the shower because of the odor. The bed was a super thin mattress set low to the floor. The front desk workers were unfriendly and seemed bothered if you asked a question. No one greeted you and most of the time no one was at the front desk. No information was explained about the location.

Nice place to stay in out of tourists location, if you go for a walk you could see amazing views. Friendly staff and you get one way gondola ride which save so much time if no walk is still great 15-20 minutes to center.

Our room was incredibly small, with dilapidated fornitures and ornaments. Even the bathroom was extremely small and patched. I'm Italian and I know Venice really well. If I would have been a tourist at my first visit in the lagoon this hotel accomodation would have completely ruined my experience. Furthermore, breakfast was simply acceptable because most of the food was clearly came from the supermarket. A b&b would have been a more suitable accomodation than this hotel.

Very bad experience staying at this property. Expedia should take off the 3 star rating from this so called hotel. 1. There were never anyone on the reception. On our arrival had to wait for 25 mins. Every time went to ask something, no one is at the reception. 2. We had our heating broken. Because of the location by the sea, it was super cold. Asked to change the room, they said the heating will be sorted. When came back after all day, it was still broken. I have asked for refund, so that I can go to a different hotel. But they refused to give me refund. They provided us a electronic plugin heater, which makes bad noise. So couldn’t keep it on to sleep. End of our trip, we were exhausted. Because of lack of sleep. I have informed Expedia and didn’t get any refund either. But I have been told that I will get £30 worth points towards my next booking. After paying £171.00 this was peanut. It was a bad experience.

Hotel Messner, I believe is also called Palace Messner, there is nothing palacial about this place. I’m embarrassed to admit I even stayed here. The reception area is separate from the hotel, you have to walk around to the opposite end to gain entry. The reception area is nice and the restaurant is also okay. The rooms are something to be desired. The rooms are seedy, the walls seems to be cracked, the wallpaper is ripped and falling off in areas. The blankets were gross, bathrooms old and delapitated. This is a place that needed remodeling back in the 80s. It’s in bad condition. The view was nice, the staff were all friendly, except this one lady who held the continental breakfast area like a dictator. Save your money and your health, don’t stay here. It’s the equivalent of a seedy motel in downtown LA. Prices were outrageous for this place.

Friendly staff, nice reception and restaurant for breakfast but disappointing accommodation. The rooms were not particularly clean under and around beds. Also one was very dark, with one bedside light broken and little light from windows or wall lights. Sheets and towels were clean although blankets taken from wardrobes less so. The bathrooms were clean although very basic and one toilet seat did but fit the toilet so did not stay on - very uncomfortable! Some attention to better cleaning of the room and perhaps upgrading the lighting would have made the rooms more pleasant.

Nice but needs improvements
This is a nice hotel but needs much updating. The staff is very friendly and rooms are cleaned every day and beds were comfortable but bathroom is extremely small and room needed a lot of updates. TV for the room was the size of a small laptop computer!! Not much time spent in room but it would be nicer if it was up to date.

The hotel has a great location - on the quiet street close to everything. The inside is a bit dated, when you take a shower the water is flooding all over the bathroom.
