First off, it’s listed as a 2 star hotel so don’t expect anything fancy. The front desk staff was super friendly, nice, and really helpful. The check-in process was easy. As we had arrived prior to the check-in time, the hotel offered to hold onto our bags and even bring them into our room when the room was ready. There isn’t an elevator, so I was fully expecting to carry the suitcases upstairs, but another gentleman from the hotel took care of the bags for us (and even so when we checked out!). Check out the next morning was also super easy and fast.
The room was fairly spacious for two people. The decor isn’t anything glamourous, and definitely outdated, but the bed was comfy. Our window faced onto the street where the front door of the hotel was so you could hear the hustle and bustle of Venice, but it wasn’t an issue at night.
The included breakfast runs from 8-10am and includes cereal, fruits, hard boiled eggs, yogurt, coffee of various varieties, a selection of deli meats and cheese, toast, and tasty pastries. This was great and the dining room was cozy and cute.
Wifi was included and worked really well.
The only downside we experienced was the AC in our room. The temperature in the room read 26 degrees Celsius the whole night and despite putting the AC on max, the temp didn’t budge. Seemed like the AC was just blowing air and not cooling it at all.
Overall, a good hotel for a short stay in Venice. Just wished our AC worked better.
