Beautiful grand hotel with breakfast. Room very clean. Staff excellent! Nice view of grand canal. Close to restaurants, shops, vaporetto, and train.

We got overcharge at the restaurant. The paninis were burn at the button and the bread they use is a regular white bread. The service was not good.

A perfect gem.
Having a balcony on the Grand canal was one of my favorite parts of my time in Venice. My secret escape from the crowds to bask in the life of Venice. A short walk from the train station, a lovely room, an epic view and a hearty breakfast. A highlight of my trip.

👍: A BEAUTIFUL hotel. Vintage, picturesque, the views of the water are unbeatable. 👎: The wifi would drop often, shower pressure is poor, a couple of the staff members werent very friendly.

Beautiful, Romantic & Practical
There are no cheep hotels in Venice, but this was a steel. They put us at an amazing room overlooking the grand canal, so romantic, so beautiful. Staff was top notch. Plus it was very conveniently close to the train station. The best stay in our lifetime so far.

Yes I liked this Hotel Very Much
Hotel is in easy walking distance from S Lucia train station approx 2 blocks. Breakfast was very good. Close to water taxi also 2-3 blocks. Great restaurants nearby. Grand Canal view is a must.

Most of the stay was wonderful. The hotel staff kindly let us keep our luggage before and after check in/out with them. The rooms were clean and the canal view was as expected. My biggest complaint was the wifi didn’t work in our room and the man at the front desk didn’t even try to help, simply said “it’s working properly, I can’t help you”

Definitely stay here
Hotel was very clean, staff was friendly, accommodations were great. Location was in an area that was very walkable and attractions were close by. I would recommend staying here if you are in Venice. This hotel was amazing. We had a canal view.

The hotel is very clean, very close to water taxi/ bus stops. Staff are friendly and breakfast was delicious! We also enjoyed the amazing view from the hotel patio at breakfast because it’s right by the water. We would definitely stay here again.

Hotel Principe was located very close to Santa Lucia train station, so I appreciated the fact that we didn’t need to take a water taxi to get to the hotel when we arrived in Venice at night. It was also at walking distance to Piazzale Roma, where the airport shuttles and taxis were. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety as well. However, the air-conditioning was not adjustable from our room and even though we asked the concierge to set it at a higher temperature, we were still very cold during the first night of our visit.

Charming and modern
Lovely hotel, modern rooms, large gorgeous bathrooms. Right on the canal easy to walk from train or bus station. Charming lobby and restaurant with a hardy breakfast. Espresso is great American coffee hard to find. Highly recommend.

Nice place. A little old fashion. Room had a bit of a smell. Bad was extra firm. AC is controlled by front desk. Your room key card needs to stay in the slot on the wall when you're in the room, otherwise the lights and electricity will go out. The breakfast is excellent.

Location is great. The hotel is very old. The stuff is mainly rude and ignorant. As a 4 star hotel it is missing some main basic elements such as no iron provided on request, drinking water in room is 3 euros where it is less than 40 cents in the shop nearby. We did not feel comfortable talking to the receptionist as they make you feel they are the boss. Overall ok but will never stay again

Excellent location just mins from the train station. Rooms were very well appointed and clean. Morning breakfast was tasty and well prepared. Front desk attendants could be a little more accommodating or at least try to be.

The personnel were absolutely wonderful and very accommodating! The room was exactly as stated - beautiful views, updated bathroom, and wonderful! It was also very conveniently and centrally located, and a ten minute walk to the train station! We would definitely stay here again!
