This is a very charming and well-run hotel in a historic 500-year-old building. The staff is excellent, as is the included breakfast. The only caution is that it is on the island of Murano, which is separate from Central Venice. To get there, you have to take a boat, which is actually kind of fun. Also, to get to the airport, you have to drag your luggage about half a mile to a different wharf. But it’s all great and its own way. Highly recommended!

The room was very nice, and pleasant views. The problem was we needed an early morning flight and check out. The gentleman at the desk never mentioned arrangements for water taxi to airport. We had difficulty arranging this on our own, adding stress to our stay. We found out that evening that the hotel can make those arrangements, too late to help us.

My husband and I stayed here as part of our honeymoon, it was a cute place with breakfast included that fit our needs while visiting Venice. The staff was amazing, shout out to Kristina who went out of her way to accommodate our late check in and greet us personally. We loved the location and price was perfect for our budget. We felt safe here and it was the perfect place to call home, if only for a few days.

Very nice traditional Italian hotel. Decor and furnishings are old-school elegant. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom is very modern and there is plenty of hot water. Room was very clean but a bit musty. There are nice open terraces with comfortable seating. Location is great - just a short walk to the vaporetto stop. Murano is wonderful - more quiet than San Marco, very quaint, but with some excellent restaurants.The biggest shortcoming was very weak wifi - we sometimes had to sit in the corridor to get a good signal.

Charming and great price
Myself and my husband stayed here for three nights whilst attending a wedding. The room was really comfortable, clean and nicely furnished. Smaller than it looks in the picture, but that was fine. The shower was great, and it was brilliant to have a little fridge. The service was polite and helpful. The only thing missing was an iron, which would have been handy, as we were going to a wedding! But again, not a big problem. The hotel is perfectly located and has a lovely courtyard. We were also able to leave our baggage there for a few hours on the morning we checked out. Overall, great value for money and a perfect base from which to explore beautiful Murano and the main island.

We were booked for bed and breakfast but with the freak weather there was know where open to eat the hotel would not even make us a hot drink my wife was in bed very I'll because she had got soaking wet because the transfer boat would not take us to the proper drop of point so we waded for a good mile by foot through water when we returned home my wife was diagnosed with pheumonia the hotel staff were very rude and refused to make us a hot drink all weekend except for breakfast 7.30_10.39

Very isolated remote from people.waterbus ia thw only transport in the town 25 min walk to hotel from bua station cant find the hotel .shower is very small 30inch square leaking ans drainage ia blocked no coffee tea machine in the room no kitxhen or drink in the hotel no restaurant in the hotel it os total isolation from anywhere .very expensive to teavel to mainland .and after 8pm the whole town is dead no pub or nightlife

Well located on Murano island, probably would not have visited Murano if we were not staying there and would have missed out on the glass factories that are located there. Excellent place to visit first ifyou have never been to Venice before.

Pretty awful hotel. Photos and information not representative of the hotel at all. First of all, you can’t walk to the famous monuments in Venice- they are a 45 minute water boat ride away. Not sure where to begin with the hotel.... very smelly, very old, bed bugs, dirty sheets, no amenities open after 5pm and no drinking water at the hotel, grumpy staff and breakfast edible. Only good thing was a hot, powerful shower.

The property is actually on Murano, which can be difficult to get to if you plan to stay out late. The property was on a quiet street, but a bit difficult to find. We had an issue with the lock on our door and the manager was reluctant to offer any help. Otherwise, our stay was just fine.

My only concern was the suspicious 50% city tax that they say they require. Why do they require 50% tax? This sounds illegal. Max by law is 4.75 Euro per person per night.

Air conditioning wasn't great. But not terrible. Mini-fridge was broken and never replaced or fixed. They messed up on the city tourist tax. Or possibly the person working the desk that day was just looking to scam me. Either way the calculations were all wrong. The staff working the front desk on day of arrival was very helpful though so it depends on the day and who you get I suppose

Dark, dark, dark, amid the blaze of noon - steel shutters were permanently closed and the room in perpetual darkness apart from a few dim lamps. We did ask for the shutters to be raised, to no avail. Also - no kettle for tea/coffee

My only complaint with the room was, the air con was not working properly to cool the room. I was awaken at the middle of the night because the room was too hot as the air con was not cooling the room. I opened the roof light/ceiling window for ventilation to cool the room on our last night but myself and my daughter found bitten by mosquitos all over our legs, hands and neck.

Hotel seemed nice enough, but the room we had (Room #1) was essentially in the lobby, meaning we could here the coming and going of every guest. When we asked to change rooms, we were told it was too late, that we should have asked when given the room. We just ended up booking another hotel, rather than have to deal with the noise for another 2 nights.

Overall good
The hotel is located in one of the quiet islands of Venice(Murano) Easy to find, check in-out was fast. Staff friendly and helpful. Bedroom very quiet and clean. Cleaning service and towels every day. Breakfast included in the price, but it was very basic.(machines barely making any drinkable coffee or juice).if you want 5 star hotel look somewhere else, otherwise that's an overall good budget hotel.

Stay elsewhere on Murano
Unfortunately a really disappointing end to a great holiday purely due to the hotel. Firstly, we were put in a room about 50m down the road from the main hotel in a room that looked nothing like the pictures on hotels.com. We were told we could check in at 12pm. On arrival at 1pm we checked into our room to find it not having been cleaned from the previous guests. Not a good start. The worst part is the annex we were put in effectively didn't have a space between the roof of our room and the floor of the room above which was made of wood. It is impossible to demonstrate how loud and creaky this was when walked on from above. Furthermore, the inhabitants of this room was a private flat, who proceeded to have a great party on our last night meaning we got no sleep after 1am. With the hotel not having a 24hr reception there was nothing we could do. We knocked on the door if the flat but were ignored. When we mentioned this to reception in the morning it was greeted with a chuckle and a 'what-do-you-expect-me-to-do-about-it' attitude. Lastly, when trying to pay the city tax, they demanded cash payment. Since we weren't notified of this at check in and was our last day in italy we had no cash. In another example of extreme unhelpfulness, we were forced to run around the island looking for a cash machine, meaning we missed our boat to the airport. Murano is a wonderful island, but I would urge you to book at another hotel.

The personnel, speciphically the Indonesian receptionist is very helpful and cordial. All of them seem contagious with the cordiality of the islandkoers.

Overall Not good
Area is far from Venice city centre, heating is not working and people are responding but not ready to help. Room are not good, mean small, and conjugated, and bad smell from interior. I feel my bad luck to choose this hotel.

Amazing!
I went for holidays to Venice and staying in this place made it a comfortable experience. The lady at the front desk was really helpful, she gave me a map of the place, told me everything I needed to know and helped with directions. The hotel has an amazing vintage style and is all very clean. The employees at the place are nice and polite.

Good hotel, quite area. One of the males at the desk must have thought that Fawlty Towers was a training video, he was most unhelpful, to the point that as the main door was locked at 7.30 in the morning, he refused to open it to let us book out, telling us to leave the key in the room, and they would take any monies owing via our credit card. We owe 41 euros for tax and breakfasts, so it will be interesting to see how much they take. The young lady on the desk was most helpful, as was the other male member of staff.

Noisy room next to some kind of machine that turned off and on all night long. Wrong kind of room offered even though reservation was months in advance. Breakfast so-so. Location not convenient or easy to find lugging a suitcase over uneven pavement. Stay in Venice proper, Murano has nothing to offer after the sun sets. It wasn't horrible but there was nothing much to recommend it.
