Gorgeous apartment in the heart of Venice

Posted Jul 30, 2016
We really enjoyed our stay at this apartment in Venice. We arrived at Arsenale via water taxi and we were met by our rep at the water side who walked us to our apartment. Her name was Cristina and she was friendly and helpful she told us all we needed to know and then left us in peace to enjoy our stay allowing us to have the independence to explore Venice by ourselves. The apartment is comfortable and beautiful. It has a small kitchen with a fridge, hob, microwave and kettle and suited our needs perfectly. There is a supermarket just round the corner called coop which has a variety of different foods and a nice selection of wines and beers. We enjoyed a lot of evenings siting on our balcony with a gorgeous view of the canal with a bottle of wine. I would definitely recommend staying here and would stay here again.

On the water

Posted Oct 12, 2015
Pros: It's decor; very old-world Venice with tones of golden yellow and orange gauze curtains. The little balcony to sit out on. The location.
Cons: A slightly more forgiving bed! And possibly a look at the bathroom plumbing?
Location: Being on the island; the whole of Venice is your mollusc! Boat trips, walking tours, lots of art and museums and restaurants.
A small bedsit-type accommodation, with facility for self-catering (but no washing machine or oven. However, in holiday mode I was keen not to be in yet another ordinary domestic situation!). The bed was VERY firm (on some sore walking days, I could have wished it was little more forgiving!), as were the pillows; but extra covers and softer pillows were available in the cupboard. Lots of storage space, and very peaceful at night after a day's walkabout. Shower a little slow in running; and have patience; the hot water will arrive! But nit a major thing, and holidays are for slowing down. Well placed: 10 minutes walk to San Mark's Square and therefrom I roamed the entire island easily each day- in different directions. Also VERY close to a vaporetto stop. A lot less crowded and considerably more peaceful than the major hotels nearer the centre, and a good place to chill out from.
