Apartment for family

Posted Oct 4, 2014 on Hotels
We have a family of four, and were placed in a top floor, newly converted apartment. Two bedrooms and baths, with common room. Very nice, although we still didn’t' spend much time in the room; this is Venice. Breakfast were very good, staff is extremely helpful. Would stay again in a heartbeat.

Disappointing B&B

Posted Sep 21, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: Freshen up the walls with paint and give the rooms some home feeling.
Location: The location is convenient to St. Mark's and the water busses
This is a very old building and the inside shows the wear. It needs paint and freshening up. No lift, remember the first floor is considered the ground floor, so a room on #2, is going up approximately 48 steps with your luggage. The breakfast is nice and the location is convenient. The bathroom is like a galley, and doesn't afford itself to any space. There is no carpeting in the room, vinyl flooring thru out. They use some kind of air freshener that is way too strong, and it just lingers in the room.

Great location, but cleanliness not to standard.

Posted Sep 12, 2014
Our experience at this hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly and very happy to help with anything. For the price of the hotel however, we did expect a greater level of cleanliness. The bathroom floor was grotty and it wasn't a nice feeling. The rooms are small but for a quick visit to Venice they are sufficient. Note that if you're travelling with heavy bags you will need to carry them up at least 4 flights of stairs as there is no lift and no ground floor rooms. Overall a nice experience. Just a word of warning though - be aware of what the hotel does with your passport information as we noticed a number of photocopies including our own stacked in the printer and the paper being used to print on the opposite side. We specifically requested our info to be destroyed before departing - personal information security is obviously not a priority.

very nice B & B but without lift

Posted Feb 28, 2014 on Hotels
the B & B is great with its' room and service. just one thing not as perfect as the other factors is that i spent 2 hours looking up for the main door. but this is only because Venice itself is like a maze, not the problem of the B&B. i finally gave up searching it and called them up, and they sent someone to pick us up. it's actually very close to the bus station and a few minutes walk to both Rialto and St Marco Square.

My wife is happy.

Posted Jun 9, 2013
Pros: Room is clean and modern
Cons: Lack of sign or direction to find it.
Location: if you are coming from airport, take orange line water bus to Rialito and search for Campo San Luca then focusing on the street number, less than 5min
Great Stay, good breakfast, nice people, extremly close to the San Marco Square. We are on honeymoon holiday and if my wife is happy, i'm happy. Indeed, she is extremly happy and satisify ^_^ The only recommendation is make sure you google the direction before you go and look at the street number of 4066 is the key. Its a little bit hard to find for first time visitor, but i believe its typical for everyone and hotels as it is Venice.

Great B&B

The B&B San Luca was in a great location. The facility was extremely clean and the staff was wonderful. I will definitely stay at B&B San Luca on my next visit to Venice.
