Lovely apartment in central location. Clean, comfortable beds. The only drawback is we had the attic apartment which has a (locked) door leading to the apartment below and from there you can hear every single conversion of the occupants and use of the kitchen. A part from that lovely place and affordable for Venice.

The property was listed as an Apartment but it can hardly be classified as one. Secondly, the check in is at another Hotel which was inconvenient as the property was further away from it. The apartment was located in an alley and was noisy till late in the night. It was not worth the price at all. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Venice apartments! It was lovely to be able to stay in such a central part of Venice with so many restaurants nearby, but not too central to the point where it was super crowded. We loved being able to use AC as well as to have our own kitchen. Communication at the front desk was great, and we were able to get some lovely recommendations from the nice man at the front desk.

This was a disappointment. First of all, check-in and location of apts. aren’t at same place. You have to walk 10 mins to check in and then come back to property. They gave us an attic room which took 9 flights of stairs, extremely exhausting after having walked 10 mins with luggage. Our luggage hardly fit in room and since it’s an attic you have to either squat or sit to fix luggage. My son is 5’11 and he felt like a giant. Towels are like bed sheets but this might be a Venice thing.

Dear Customerthe apartment she reserved was an attic and certainly cannot be on the ground floor given the height, however her reservation is a one-room studio apartment not a large apartment which, among the customer's choices, can be booked if a customer wants be more comfortable and have more space.The check-in was her mistake and she went directly to the apartments where it was specified that it had to be done at our main hotel therefore it was not our fault but, as we repeat, her mistake.Next time we advise you to book a larger apartment and above all on the lowest floor (it was enough to ask at reception) without giving such an inappropriate rating to our structure due to the problem of stairs and space.Cordial greetingsVenice Apartments

We were allowed to check in by 1pm. The apartment was in 4th floor with no lift, Going to fourth floor with kids and luggage was a nightmare. Will not book the flat gain.

Good apartment in a nice location close to amenities. Air con which was very handy! Plus towel change and bins in the apartment emptied every day. Also, conveniently situated for getting to and from the airport, and the train station

Terrible stay. The worst I've had so far. I got to the hotel only to be told that my booking had been cancelled, although the booking was still showing as active on my membership account. I called the website and they told me it was an issue i should take up directly with the hotel because i was paying the hotel directly. In short i think that there was either a miscarriage if responsibility, or that the hotel decided to give my room to someone else without communicating with me. They then took on the role of trying to help me with my dilemma by selling me 5he only room they had left. And eight bedroom apartment, that was more expensive than i was planning for. The room was in a basement, noisy without good ventilation. I felt used and humiliated and it ruined my vacation.

We did like the location of the place, yet you have to walk around ten mins to get to the actual apartment from the lobby, since they are two separate buildings. The apartment had no hot water, the bed was damaged and the mattress was down to the floor with no support and clearly old. The service was mediocre and the receptionist was really dismissive and rude.

Worst accomodation in the world. Please do not stay here. Avoid this at all cost, you are better off sleeping in the streets. It is old, dirty, small, there are bedbugs everywhere, no bathroom! I am very serious when I say this was the WORST experience ever.

The room was in an attic with no air conditioning. The directions were terrible & so was the location. The whole experience was probably the worst I’ve ever had. The guy in charge wasn’t helpful at all. Very hard to find. The bathroom was horrible. Hardly slept because their was something making a noise. I could go on & on!!!!

Great!
The apartment was fantastic, easy to find, and was kept beautifully clean. We loved it, and the kitchen area was well-equipped enough for us to be able to easily make food there every day (it's also right next to a supermarket). The apartments are also in a good location, because they are a little out of the way, and so not as busy as some other areas of Venice during the time we stayed. We loved Venice Apartments, and would highly recommend them to anyone staying there.

The room was located in an area that made all of Venice accessible. The check in process was quick and efficient. The room was large with everything required. Bathroom sharing not ideal but we had it to ourselves most of our stay.

It was too noisy. Right next to several bars. And directly across from the stock room for a McDonalds that started operations at 3.30am. We got very little sleep Door was glass with a piece of plastic in the middle section for a little blocked light

Worth extra to be in the center with family.
Two night stay and everything was fine, as other comments reception is at another hotel. Hotel Ariel Silva, half way between Train Station and apartment. Staff there spoke English and were very helpful. Apartment is behind Macdonalds and the Conad supermarket is 2 minutes walk. Nice to fix breakfast and dinner and have a short pause between sightseeing.

Finding the hotel to check in then finding to room was quit a chore. I had to find an Italian to talk to the hotel clerk and find out where the hotel entrance was located. Room itself was fine, right behind a McDonnald's, very small shower.

Not furnished well. No WiFi. No proper arrangments. No proper assistance. Overall an okay stay! Also, quite a bit away from the main train station. Reaching with luggage could be cumbersome!

Really not good! Whether a penthouse exists, I am not sure but the room we were allocated opened onto the gutters of the Venice streets. With a frosted glass door (no curtain) and only glass patio doors/shutter between 'our' apartment and the next door one. Washing machine had several buttons missing and did not look safe to use and would be better removed and the hob had a dial missing so only one hob was usable. No kettle and thus a saucepan was the only way to heat water for tea. Very noisy from the next door apartment when people were in there and some noise from outside. We had booked a penthouse and by no stretch of the imagination could this be described that way. Very disappointed that the vetting of properties cannot be relied on to ensure that descriptions are accurate.

a bit too low budget
Convenient in the Cannaregio. As long as you plan in advance and read the paperwork finding the hotel Ariel to pick up the keys and then finding the apartment is not onerous. Hint - the apartment is the first street left after Macdonalds. However the TV didn't work and aircon didn't work. It was very hot in April and the mozzies were already active. Dead easy to get to the Ca D'Oro Vaporetto stop. The kitchen was very basic. No microwave and NO bottle opener!! If there had been a private bathroom I'd have given it 5 starts for value for money. The bathroom was immaculately clean and there was no problem sharing, we just hadn't expected it. I'd book again, but make sure I had a one of the private bathroom apartments.

If there was a minus rating I could use to describe this place and the experience I would. Be warned. Do not ever book here. I know that I should not have been expecting the Ritz for what I paid but the experience was aweful. My booking was situated in Calle Zotte which was more central, close to the Rialto etc. When i arrived at the address of my booking, there was no reception and the door was locked. After lugging my baggage for a while and ringing all the apartments, I eventually found out that the reception was near the train station which I had already passed and had to go all the way back. No instructions were sent by Hotel.com explaining this. Once i got to hotel ariel where the reception was, they said they had overbooked my accomodation so basically what i paid for in terms of location and what i got was not the same. I was forced to stay in a very scummy location deep in Cannaregio with no alternative. The receptionist was very unhelpful. Unfortunately this experience resulted in a very negative impression of Venice and i could not wait to leave.

Location is ok, near to a main street, restaurants, supermarkets. cost/benefit is acceptable. having the check-in at a different place, 10-15 min walk from actual hotel and carrying your luggage and tired children, is simply a nightmare. (if you don't have a phone and GPS, you are easily in trouble). toilets are not so clean (probably for most of 0-2 stars hotels in here).

Beware of check in process and staff
This is an apartment rather than a hotel. The problem is that management does not provide ANY information about how to get the key to the apartment. To get the key, you will have to call the phone on the reservation. Upon calling the phone number, you will learn that you need to find a local hotel to check in and get the apartment key. The problem with finding the managing hotel is that the hotel is a good 10 minute hike away and down a small side street that is poorly marked. Even with the help of a local, it took 30 minutes to find the managing hotel. Good luck, without the help of a local, it might take 45 minutes to over an hour to find the managing hotel. Moreover, a few members of the hotel staff that services the apartment are very rude. When we checked out of the apartment at the hotel's reception desk, the manager told us that we could use the hotel's internet, since our apartment did not have internet access. While we were using the internet, a staff member found it inconvenient that we were using the table that the manager told us to use. The staff member who was cleaning the area mocked us in Italian to other Italians. This rude staff member just assumed that we did not understand Italian. The manager seemed to know that the staff member was disgruntled. At one point, the manager asked to staff member to be patient. Yet as soon as the manager left the room, the disgruntled staff member continued mocking us to other hotel guests that spoke Italian.

Great location...basic but clean...
Great location where you can walk to almost everywhere and 5 minutes to Ferry Stop Fundamente Nove which takes you to the airport or Murano, which takes you on to Burano and Torcello. Great local bakery, shops and cafes in the next street and 3 minutes to the local supermarket, Billa, which has everything at a reasonable price. Small apartment but adequate and a great maids service including fresh towels daily. Bring your own corkscrew.

I was very disappointed with this apartment hotel. expensive for what had to offer. Television was a small old tube TV that did not work. Beds were old, uncomfortable and had bed bugs since we had skin bites. Just to get the key of the apartment you had to walk 1/2 mile not so convenient when you are not fluent Italian and are trying to get directions.

We would not have found the"meeting hotel" if our porter had not known where it was. When we got there we were offered a room close by for the same price as the apartments. We had been travelling all day from Nice, France, 3 ladies in our 70's. We were told the apartments were a 6 minute walk away up 4 flights of stairs. We asked if there we be a refund as we had paid for an apartment but were only being offered a room. No refund was given. I think that they could see we were exhausted and took advantage of us. Ringing up to get the location of the "meeting hotel" was a nightmare as the man who answered the phone had no English to speak of.

As the guest was very tired and the apartment was at the upper floor and few blocks away we proposed the second choice that was the room in hotel without any extra charge( the breakfast was offered as the apartments hasn't any breakfast) so no one had advantage of him as the choice was from the guests.
