Fairly priced location

This is a great hotel for the price and location it is in. My only remark would be that Shower tub floor was yellow and looked aged. It seems they tried to rectify it by putting a rubber shower floor mat inside the tub to hide it, but it was still noticeable. It's wasn't a deal breaker though we would come back again. Staff is friendly and the TV had ambient sounds on it like oceans waves crashing and other outdoor sounds.

Friendly and convenient.

Pros: It was set back from the freeway and most of the rooms faced away from the freeway.
Cons: Rooms with 2 full beds would be better as 2 queens. Room decor was a little tired, and it could have been cleaner.
Staff were all friendly and helpful. Room was a little run down, and there was loose debris on the carpet. We had to ask for extra towels as the room wasn't equipped for 4, as booked. Breakfast room was a good size with sufficient seating. A good variety of breads and bagels, replenished promptly, together with cereal, waffles, 1 flavor of yogurt in light and normal, fruit and beverages were on offer.

Convenient if looking for clean,quiet place

Acceptable motel. Felt safe, area clean, nice pool. Breakfast mediocre and chaotic but toast and fruit hit the spot. Exterior needs attention.

Decent, but quite a few problems

Pros: It was handy to my eventual destination
Cons: Read the above; it explains it all.
Location: I had no opportunity to experience nearby locations; my business for two days consumed all my daytime and evening hours.
My room was clean, but: The toilet seat was so loose that it almost fell off when I sat on it. The light fixture next to the bed was unplugged, so I had to move the nightstand and crouch behind it to plug in the light. The air conditioner often made a very loud "CRACK" sound, waking me during the night. The sink evidently was mostly clogged because it drained so slowly that it would be half-full by the time I shaved and brushed my teeth; then, after it drained, it would leave a scummy "bathtub ring" around the inside. Most hotels in this price range these days have a mini-fridge and/or a microwave, but this one had neither.

Not Our Favorite Anymore:(

LA Quinta used to be our favorite place to stay when visiting Oxnard. When walking in the room smelled like cat,they no longer have queen-size beds, which was a big disappoinment, the door didn't lock from the inside which was very dangerous for my 2 yr old grandson, while on our 4 day stay the room was only cleaned once, the trash kept overflowing, there was not enough toilet paper or towels and the breakfast was very mediocre :(

Great staff; shabby room

The staff was friendly and helpful, no complaints there. The room was not all that clean, and it was pretty worn out.

Quick stay

Check in was fast, the front desk attendant wasn't too social but I wasn't there to make friends either, lol. The room was clean, up kept, and there was abundant parking. Not bad for a expedia-rated 2.5 star hotel. I'd definitely stay there again if the occasion where to repeat.

Our room keys were cancelled two out of three nights. Breakfast had no working coffee maker. No coffee maker in rooms. Very comfortable bed. Our stay could have been much better.
