Clean and comfortable.
We stayed one night while attending an event. The hotel was located within walking distance to the beach and shopping. Definitely not fancy but it was clean and comfortable.

OK for a night or two
Very clean. Very covid conscious. Old school type of motel. No elevator, so be aware that you will have to haul your luggage up the stairs. Room was very clean. Beds not super comfortable. They offer a grab and go breakfast. Pretty inconvenient that you have to walk outside to the office to get coffee. The machine in our room wasn't the best. We visit Ventura frequently, probably won't stay at the Best Western again.

The main benefit was its closeness to the pier and restaurants. The room was mediocre. The breakfast very weak. The coffee also was weak. There were no directions in the room for checkout. The person at the desk was brand new and dd not know what to do. The water pipes were noisy. I paid way too much money for a place like this.

Property was fine. Near the beach. There was a tenant that was a little sketchy but i stayed away from him. I only wish there was better parking closer to my room.

Where to begin. This was my husband and I first time visiting Ventura. The beaches are beautiful. This inn has newly renovated rooms that were really nice. The front staff were very friendly. We enjoyed the close proximity to dining, downtown and the beach. On our first night at this property it was really loud outside in the parking lot. There was a group of people drinking and being loud, leaning close to my parked car. My husband and I did not feel safe leaving the room. Lots of sketchy people coming in and out of the property. We ended up leaving early from our trip we did not want to stay on our second planned night here. Looks as if the govt. is using this location to house homeless individuals.

Unmade Room & No Other Vacancies
I arrived at 9pm, was given card key to my room, carried my stuff from the car, only to find the room had not been cleaned from the previous guest: bed was unmade, towels on the floor, garbage in the trash. I put my stuff back in the car, went to the front desk, only to find the receptionist had locked the lobby and gone on a break for 15 minutes. Once she opened up the lobby, I told her about the room. She complained to someone on the phone, but told me she didn't have another room. She offered to call La Quinta Hotel for me, but I declined because I didn't know anything about that hotel. I had to find another hotel after 9:30 pm, sleepy and with two dogs. I filed a complaint on Best Western's site a few days ago, but have not heard back yet.

Staff here is first rate. We had a very comfortable one night stay on our way to the Channel Islands. Room was recently renovated, clean, spacious, quiet, with all the amenities we could have asked for. Location was very convenient near freeway and walkable to downtown. It seemed very open to the main road, and not what I would call picturesque, but definitely worth the value.

Decent Hotel
The front desk clerk was rude, had no customer service, was not friendly and had attitude with the guests in front me and with us. The room was clean and comfortable. There were bums that you can see through the window behind the hotel that we saw in the hotel roaming and that looked very sketchy. Definitely a place to stay for one night just to rest but did not feel at ease seeing what was going on behind the hotel. Wouldn’t recommend to stay there longer than a day.

The room was very clean and comfortable. So many things to eat within walking distance. The Ventura pier was also a few minutes walk and a site to see. There were a couple of questionable people coming in and out but nothing too bad. Overall very good location and nice place to stay.

Check in was easy, hotel was very clean. You’re close to a lot of nice restaurants and a cool playground for the kiddos. My only complaint would be that if traveling with little ones bring a lock of some sort. The secondary lock is low enough that my 2 year old could get it off, we ended up putting the dresser in front of the door to ensure our little guy couldn’t escape in the middle of the night. Pool is closed also just an FYI

Quick family trip
Customer service was great and helpful. Really can’t control the “characters” that stay there, but overall, the room was clean and spacious (for a motel-style layout). The AC was good and appreciate free breakfast (even with grab and go style). Location was also great. Would stay here again.

While the property is handicap accesible, the access from the parking lot to the room is not. There is a 8 inch barrier surrounding the flower bed which runs the length of the adjoining sidewalk which inhibits passage if a person is in a wheelchair. Even using a cane or walker is a challenge to get into the room on ground level.

Test generally speaking we had a good experience. Our room was clean. The staff the staff was helpful. The location is very good 4 downtown and somewhat close to the beach. The parking situation and the general appearance of the hotel needs upgrade.

I had stayed here years ago for my daughters wedding and noticed a lot of nice updates to the outside and inside . it was clean bed comfortable. However, the coffee and condiments where not stocked. Staff was very curt and not hospitable.

So many motels these days are obviously cutting corners, with worn out mattresses and towels, and soap that comes out of a dispenser in the wall. Not this place, thank god! Decent beds, linens, plus those little bars and tiny bottles of soap/shampoo which now feel downright retro. It also felt luxurious after the last two s***holes I stayed in. This place even provided a generous breakfast that you picked up in the lobby and took back to your room, to comply with COVID precautions. The host was super nice and encouraged me to take as much food and beverage as I wanted. Did I mention that this place is also a 10 min walk from the beach/pier and right next door to a nice park and several good restaurants? An amazing deal, esp. at this price.

Good spot just pool closed
It was a good stay lots of parking on site and there is a park right across the st in case you have kids or just want to out for a run. Restaurant are within 7 minutes also taco trucks one block away .. in the morning “rosa” will hook you up with some breakfast 🔥🔥 overall a good stay and would recommend . Rooms are spacious i forgot to mention

Ruben at the desk was nice. View was great from room (loud though). I feel for the amount you pay to stay here it should have been disclosed somewhere that this motel was turned into a COVID homeless shelter for a while and it seems that A LOT of the residents are still living there.
