Although the hotel notified me after I made & paid for my reservation that there was construction on the exterior, we weren’t prepared for the scope of it. The hotel looks like it’s being built and it was hard to find the entrance. Also, plastic sheeting covered the exterior of the building so our balcony was sealed up. It will probably be great when it’s finished, but I’d avoid staying here until then.

The property is going through renovations for a while now. And is super noisy, they are giving the first floor to try to avoid the conflict but the problem is those rooms smell like a wet cat and it feels super humid! I will recommend to find a different place to stay at this time!

What I liked about the hotel was that the room with the king bed was spacious. I didn’t realize the size of the room was going to be that big compared to the online pictures. It did not disappoint me nor my girlfriend at all. Best room we’ve stayed in

I loved the room itself. It was very large and well decorated. My issue was with the exterior upgrading going on. The very loud equipment and machinery were located right outside my window. I feel we should have been placed in rooms further away from the equipment.

Everything was great as always. We come every year around this time of year to visit family. All was good . Staff always nice . Housekeeping and kitchen staff were Awesome ! There was contstruction outside of buiding but was out of our way.

Very nice hotel, close the the main street and friendly staff. Great customer service. The breakfast was fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay and will stay there again. The only reason I gave 4 star around the property is that it was under construction, but did not impact us in any way.

We showed up and the hotel looked like it should have been completely closed . It was fully under construction . Our balcony was wrapped with plastic which made for a strange feeling , like chlosterphobia.

The building was covered with scaffolding and plastic blocked the view from the windows. Construction to the exterior was ongoing but we weren’t affected with noise on the weekend. The pool and jacuzzi were open and in great condition. Close to the freeway and train tracks so noisy outside but inside the windows quieted the traffic noise considerably and it did not bother me. They are adding a fire pit and a remodeled outdoor seating area at the pool. Interior was clean and upgraded and the rooms were large and well appointed with spacious modern bathrooms. The bed was very comfortable and the tv was quite large and modern with lots of channels. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and the breakfast was great. They also provided a happy hour with beer, wine and hot snacks. The proximity to downtown restaurants and the beach was very nice and walkable. I would say that it should be an even better experience when the construction is completed but overall we had a very nice stay and will stay again if we’re in town.

Called us to charge early with appointment and even though check in was 3 pm demanding payment for first night. Was driving over 7 hours away had to give credit card or threatening to lose booking, upon arrival under construction no told of this. Room had human hair all around and smelled, wife got out of shower to have to men on construction scaffolding outside window again to notice from management. Terrible experience.

The place is going thru construction and looks like a prison. It was over priced. I heard banging all day long hammering. The toilet was running the entire time and the housekeeping person that knocked on our door telling us to leave after I was an approved for a late check out was extremely rude. I wish I could get my money back. Because there were no other hotel with Vacancy we had to stay there - but they should not be open during the remodel.

The property is renovating the entire facade. Room was renovated but had that musty old hotel smell that’s hard to get rid of. The staff was so nice and friendly and we really appreciated the happy hour and breakfast. Abuts the highway and train so you do hear that noise. The pool looked like it was just redone as it was very clean. Again, the staff was fantastic!

The location was right next to the 101 Freeway on ramp and was a little noisy. The approach to the hotel was kind of strange, in a little lane next to a free way on ramp but once inside the hotel was well decorated, clean and staff were very nice. There was also a lot of renovation going on the outside and there were scaffolding everywhere. But I am sure once they are done it will look very nice.

To say that this hotel is under construction would be an understatement. When I arrived, I thought it was abandoned. It is completely covered in scaffolding. The inside is fine. To get to the pool and jacuzzi you have to walk through tarps etc. The other problem was personal. As a woman traveling alone, they put me in a room at the very end of the corridor, very remote. It was a ground floor room and it was an interconnecting room. This is the trifactor of dangers for a female traveling alone. Front desk staff should be more aware of these factors. Finally, my fault, this property is literally on the freeway and the train line. I had a jacuzzi on Sunday morning and I felt like I was sitting in traffic, not at all relaxing.

Housekeeping staff were great. Clean. Solid breakfasts. Pool and hot tub nice. NOISE! Remodel of the exterior was happening right outside our room starting at 7:57 when we get to bed at 2 AM. Last night 2:30 to 4 AM the most foul mouthed and noisy verbal altercation I have ever had the misfortune of hearing. We will never stay here again.

lots of construction being done. Even though it is right next to the train tracks and the freeway, it was quiet when we slept. close to the beach, close to downtown and close to the fairgrounds and the amtrak station. we took the amtrak up from LA and what a nice way to travel and only 0.8 miles from the train station and the fairgrounds.
