My husband and I have stayed here many times in the past and loved it. We had a different experience this time, though. It is in a lovely area, we felt safe and there are many places to eat which are very close. These are the pluses. Our main complaint was that we got a very dated room. The mattresses were so very uncomfortable. Neither one of us got a good night's sleep on the two nights we stayed. We would both wake up in the middle of the night with just horrible back aches. We had two beds and each slept in one, so they were both bad. We left the whole second day to go to a funeral and thought we would arrive back to nice clean towels, etc. Apparently you have to request maid service now. I will say it is in a great area, the staff seem nice enough, but, oh, those mattresses! Time for new ones! The room overall just seemed to need some refreshing. The shower and sink worked, but definitely needed some "modernizing". They do have free coffee on every floor, so if you wake up early like I do and need some fresh coffee, you can pad down the hall in your slippers and get a fresh cup of coffee. That was nice!

When I checked in they said I needed to put a parking pass on my dash. The next morning I learned that they charged me $10.00 to park my car overnight in their lot. The rate for the room was already high and they didn't mention a parking fee. The breakfast was okay. The usual scrambled eggs and sausage. Nothing special. Also, they didn't give me a bottle of water. The clerk said I could but one for $7.50 for a small bottle or $9.69 for Evian. I wasn't impressed.

Convenient location to family. Facility lobby and hallways were clean. Room was comfortable but had cobwebs along ceilings and debris along bathroom baseboards and in crevices. I am not trying to be critical,just pointing out a few observations. We did not spend any time in the room aside from sleeping and getting ready to go out with family locally. We did not have a vehicle onsite which evidently saved us $10.00 per day?

Nothing fancy at all but met our needs. Towels were small and not plentiful at all. Had to request housekeeping a couple of times -probably wouldn't have needed to do so if there had been more linens. Close to everything we wanted. Staff was ok. - not over-eager to assist, but did do so.

Our check in was very easy and quick and the gentleman that helped us had great customer service skills. The room was clean and well maintained, as was the rest of the property, and breakfast was fantastic as well. The only negative was that there was no soap in the bathroom, but otherwise everything was fantastic and we would absolutely stay here again.

We arrived more than an hour after check-in time and they informed us it would be a 5 minute wait for our room because house keeping was running behind. We just drove over 5 hours from another state, in time to get ready and go to a surprise party. We needed the room to get ready. But 5-10 minutes, ok. I ended up doing my makeup and hair in the lobby restroom while my husband waited for the room. Finally, over 30 minutes later, I approached the desk to ask about the status of our room. First of all, she forgot who we were, so clearly wasn't prioritizing getting us into our room, even though we were waiting only a few feet away from her in a fairly empty lobby. Then she said our room was still not ready! ...But she could get us one similar. Ok. Fine. It was actually a downgraded room from what I paid for. But we needed to finish getting ready quickly. She then proceeded to check us in, and do all the things she could have started processing earlier, like a parking permit, etc. She took nearly the longest I have ever experienced checking in. She still proceeded to nickel and dime, charging for parking and everything else, despite being downgraded and waiting so long after check in. There was no offer to compensate or discount despite one of the worst hotel check in experiences ever.Really poor customer service. Paying for parking in suburb like that was also ridiculous. Room had weird smell and signs of wear and tear/ water damage. Not terrible but not ideal.
