Literally ON THE BEACH. Wishing the shower curtain is longer so water doesn't escape from the shower area. Staffs are super tentative. We will come backinJune.

Beautiful and quaint ... right on the beach . Close to everything but worlds away. Very much worth it . Very small issue with the hot water in the sink and the "breakfast" is lacking but those are both quite minor .

Loction! Location! Location! Friendly helpful staff. Room is quaint and cute with a very nice deck looking out over the beach. Bathroom was updated, but the shower handle was a little hard to get to work and very low water pressure in sink- minor things. The location is what you're paying for .

This was the a gross experience! The hotel was filthy.Body matter on the walls. Thick dust/dirt on the furniture. A broken bed. Then to top it off. Breakfast included was day old muffins that were frozen and microwaved. Most likely multiple times cereal was in an unsanitary container where everyone could just dig in. Needless to say we could not leave hotels due to an event going on.The first thing we did was a bedbug check. Thankfully, we didn’t encounter that, however, my friend and I did not sleep, nor did we shower or eat breakfast. Any economy hotel at the lowest price would’ve been better than paying $250 for this experience. When we complained, the nice girl at the front desk stated she would talk to her manager. We sent him pictures and asked for a return phone call . We never received a call. We had Hotels.com call on our behalf. The manager Jay stated that he has a beautiful fine establishment. I guess you could say he’s calling me a liar. However, the pictures will prove otherwise, do not stay here. The pictures can not even depict how dirty it was!!

I enjoyed staying at this quaint hotel. It was wonderful being right on the beach. Sadly, two days after I left, a rogue wave hit the hotel and ruined the downstairs, including the patio room I staying in. I know they are working hard to repair it.

Hi Lucy. We are sorry your trip got cut short at the Inn because of the wave that came crashing through on the 28th of December 2023. Our sincere apologies about any inconveniences this may have caused you. We still have no power at the Inn and its kept us from reaching out to future guests and the ones like yourself that were with us when the water intrusion occurred. Thankfully the second and third floor rooms where you stayed were "High and Dry" at that time and nobody at the property was injured.

Booked 2 rooms for our family of 4. 1 room was accidently given to someone else and had to wait an hour before the room was ready to occupy. TV didn't work but desk guy was able to fix it. Bathroom door got stuck and husband couldn't get out. Shower faucet loose and looks like will fall off.

While the rooms and property are dated the location can’t be beat. The price was very reasonable for being right on the beach. There are a variety of restaurants within a block (Thai, sushi, burgers and Italian) that were all decent. The staff was great with directions, additional items and was very friendly. We were there on the first week in December so no need for air conditioning . There is no air conditioner so I don’t know how the rooms might be in July or August. The rooms all face the ocean (west) so we got beautiful sunsets each evening but they might be beautiful in the summer though the heat might bother some. Our room had a fireplace which I thought was just for ambiance but it can heat the room nicely. There is a light breakfast provided each morning with coffee, milk, juice, rolls, buns, oatmeal and cereal. Also cofffee and a fridge in the rooms (no microwave). We plan to return to The Inn on the Beach in 2024. If we check it out in the warmer months I’ll update this review.

Great location to the beach and restaurants. Everything is within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Rooms are older, but 2nd and 3rd floor rooms have the best views of the ocean.

the only hotel on the beach in ventura - it is an older property, but has a lot of charm - we usually stay in a double queen - they removed the closet so no place to hang clothes and there is no A/C, only a small fan, so when it is hot, you won't cool off that much, even though the patio door opens to the beach/ocean - the beds are comfortable but too soft for my tastes

You are paying for the vihew which is right on the beach. Little else is impressive. Breakfast room was closed and the only compensation was a pot of coffee set up late with a package of rolls from the grocery store. Our TV remote did not work. Except for the mattress the furnishings were dated and minimal. Neighborhood restaurants were Thai, Sushi, and two overpriced burger joints.

The hotel boasts a great location and its staff is welcoming and helpful. Although it may not have all the luxurious amenities, it does offer comfortable king-size beds with fresh linens and towels.

The furniture was old and broken with nails sticking out of the headboard of the bed. I picked up a chair to put it in front of the desk and the arm pulled off. The refrigerator didn't work and was hot. It had no air conditioner and an arch over the sliding door had the sun blaring in that was blinding. The only protection from the sun was the cobwebs.
