I would suggest that they eliminate the old, worn carpet in rooms and do LVP or tile floors. Room could use another chair or loveseat.

I read this property at ocean views. It’s why I chose it. No ocean view. Our view was the parking lot. When we entered the room, there was a bad smell. I opened the windows to air it out. The staff were lovely and we were given a larger room as our room wasn’t ready when we arrived. When we requested an extra blanket, it came but it was very thin.

Ok place, staff very friendly but honestly seems like it would make more sense as an airport hotel in Atlanta than a beachside Hotel in CA. Pool fine but nothing special.. no character at all..a little overpriced too for what it is IMHO.

Hidden costs dampen the enthusiasm
The hotel itself is fine as was the published room rate considering it was southern California. What I didn't like was the unpublished rates for parking $16!!/day and the internet in your room $10/day (which I didn't choose to use or pay for due to the cost). The hotel is somewhat isolated and is not in a premium parking area so charging $16 is an excessive and hidden cost

Always a great "Go to" hotel while staying in the Ventura/Ojai area. Close to wonderful restaurants in downtown Ventura and great access to the beach/walking & bike trail.

The second night we were kept awake by an upstairs room sounding like they were playing basketball. I called down to front desk and they said they would check on it. Stopped for about an hour and picked back up at 4:00 am. When we checked out the front desk told us that sometimes you are unlucky with loud neighbors. Never have I had an expert like this and my husband and I travel a lot.

Modern and clean hotel in Ventura
Hotel is really nice and staff was super friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room on the top floor with the view of the park and the ocean - always a bonus! The room was modern, super clean and very enjoyable to stay in. Hotel is relatively close to highway so it was impossible to sleep with the door open because of highway noise. However, the room AC was super quiet so the noise was minimal and did not disturb us during the night. Had to ask for daily room service - if we wanted it. Overall, we’d stay here again.

Too expensive thru hotels .com
I was surprised given the cost of the stay we had to pay for parking, internet and breakfast separately if you were not a certain Marriott awards member. Not made clear while booking or at the hotel. So overall not that good of a value given cost.

The wife and liked the quiet and location of the hotel. We didn’t like having to pay for parking, would you charge your friends for parking at your home? We already paid for the room, why the extra fee for parking?
