The beds are super comfortable and I loved this place the most of anywhere I’ve stayed in Vermillion. The curtain on my window was difficult to move up and it was very windy, which caused something to constantly be knocking against the building near my window. Otherwise I loved my stay and I will definitely be booking again!
My room was super huge!!!
However the pool was not open :(. That’s was the point of my booked stay. I have a young son and we were visiting in verm where my daughter goes to college.
Thought we could swim we are big water people - with no indoor pool at home :(. Anyway hopefully our next stay the pool is open !!!

Very convenient to the DakotaDome. We were there for a football game and this location couldn’t be more perfect for that. I couldn’t give this a full 5 stars because the place has been kinda updated but some things could have been done a bit better. The king room they gave us was handicap which was fine. But the folding shower bench should have been replaced. It was old vinyl that was peeling and black mold was on and in it. Gross. Breakfast was good. Plenty to eat but the coffee creamers must have been outdated. They curdled in our coffee. I took it to the breakfast attendant and she said Oh. I don’t know much about coffee. 😳😂. Other than that. We had a good stay.
Gashed my leg on bed frame too large for mattress. Linens for pull-out not provided in room. TV at maximum volume could not be heard over AC unit (TV issue, not A/C issue).
This is a very nice hotel, in a good location, if you're going to an event at the Dome, track or basketball arena. Also close to the admissions office if you're in town for a campus visit, like we were.

Terrible customer service! Will NEVER come back!
Destiny, customer service/front desk employee, was terrible! She was rude and disrespectful! We will never stay at that hotel again!
Also-the rooms were not ready well after the check in time and our toilet was disgusting! We were told: "it was payday yesterday, so a bunch of people didn't show up for work today!"

At 4:50am the fire alarm went off and woke up the entire facility. It was not an actual emergency but sounded like the hotel accidentally set off the alarm and woke the entire facility. We had a long day traveling in and had a long day ahead and unfortunately I was not able to fall back asleep. The hotel staff did not acknowledge or apologize for the issue. The food quality at the free breakfast was not great like at other Holiday Inn properties.

Few hours after check out realized that a pair of ear rings were left in the room. Staff was no help in looking for these lost items. Called back a few times to have them check and got no help in locating them either time.

Also, due to this incident the two employees that cleaned the room no longer are employed here.
This facility is definitely somewhat outdated. The rooms have lots of visible repairs—patches to the walls, etc. We found garbage under the couch when we pulled the bed in it out. There were hairs and debris on some of the bed pillows, and some of the bathroom towels had stains. The lobby area was cleaner and more updated.
