We were in town for eight days and stayed at three different properties. Howard Johnson’s by far was the best value for the money. Our room was very comfortable. Good mattresses, good air conditioning, nice towels and quiet. The bathroom was not totally updated but again for the price we paid it was very nice. We will stay again.

We booked a last minute reservation for 1 night at the HoJo. The lobby smells of stale smoke. We had a 1st floor room near the check in office. The US1 traffic noise and other guest noise was load, like they were inside with us. The bathroom is old - the tub doesn’t drain and there was hair on the walls. There was a sticky residue on the nightstand. The bed covers were stained. Won’t be back at the HoJo again.

Our first room was poolside and smelled strong of chlorine and cigarette smoke. BUT, Requested another room and when moving to that room it's smell freshing clean. They moved us without any hassels. Had a very pleasant stay. Very nice hotel.

This is an older hotel. It smells musty and old. Not enough towels or toilet paper. Had to bring our own. When we asked for more the clerk was rude and unaccommodating. Over priced for the place that it is.

Great location. However between the trains and traffic it was a bit noisy. It is exactly what we expected. The room finishes, power outlets,?towels, and other amenities are what we expect from a discount range hotel. Given the price markups locally for a holiday? weekend this place was a bargain.

Everybody's always very nice always! However, I got the same room twice within a two week period and the same popcorn that was behind the bed under the front of the bed and behind the microwave was still there I picked up some of it but I didn't realize it was there till on my way out when I was leaving the first time second time same thing.

Highly Recommend
The front desk clerk was not very friendly, he did not tell me my room number or show me which direction to go in. He never asked me for ID, just my name. The room was excellent and very clean and comfortable. We will definitely stay here again despite the unfriendly clerk.
