Nice hotel, awesome dinner and lunch!

Booked last minute and they upgraded room to a suite. The happy hour was over, but they gave us a bottle of wine anyways.

Perfect location, great rooms

Pros: Location, on-site amenities, room size, and staff.
Cons: The restaurant is very nice, but expensive. A more family-friendly breakfast menu would help.
Location: Beach location great for walking, swimming, fishing, etc., but also close to river for boating, paddle boarding. Mall and movies a 10-minute drive.
We travel to Vero every year to visit family, and we have stayed a few different places. This is definitely our number one choice! It's right on the beach, but also near all of the restaurants and shops; we walked everywhere. The rooms are large and nicely decorated. We especially like the two-bedroom suites - we can travel with our kids without having to get two hotel rooms, and there's a nice, large living/sitting room. The hotel has a great pool and outdoor bar/cafe, along with other amenities (fitness room, business center, on-site spa, complimentary wine "happy hour" and coffee in the morning). The staff are very friendly and attentive. The onsite restaurant is excellent, although a little pricey; there is seating indoors and outdoors, with beautiful views. We really love staying here!

I only stayed less than 12 hours but the staff was lovely and attentive. My room was clean.

Not what one should expect from a 4+ star

Pros: Near the beach.
Cons: Everthing....Needs a good gm and maintenance crew...and a very head to toe cleaning......
Location: Not much , good shopping, but mostly beach
1st day , Slip in tub and fell due to no slip protection. Hotel staff came up and check to find out if I was ok. Note all rooms are owned by investors and are just rented out by hotel. 2nd Day Ac broke down, and management said it was my sons fault? because he had his bag in front of door? Told would have it fix when we returned. Returned 4 hrs later and it was not fix , and requested a new room. Staff did not like it , but gave us a new one, and even did not ask if they could help us move. 3nd day, After upgrading the room when we got there, I felt anyone could have bad luck so I extended the staying time by two days the day before. We went out and came back and was locked out of our rooms?? So we had to go down stairs and get new keys and find out what the XXX was going on. Again staff really did not care ask for the GM who never show up? Then got back on the elevator . and got stuck going back to room..They open other side and let me out....And remember this is a 4 + Star....I don't think so. When back to room and took a bath got out and dressed, that when I saw black dirt on bottom feet, the floor is that dirty. So This is how our stay was....DON,T STAY HERE....Over priced for a 1 star at best...You have been warned....

Least Expensive Room Advertised has No view--

Location: We spent most our time at the hotel
Of course the hotel's public facilities & rooms are nicely "appointed", the restaurant and staff are wonderful; Caveat: However , you must expect no view if you pay for the least expensive room available - which Expedia advertises. literally-- you will have a room like a cave or a cruise ship portal- So do yourself a favor- upgrade-- We stayed on the beach for a five days and never opened the shutters ; room was dark- so , of course , we spent all out time in the restaurant- and used the room less.

Location: Beach is perfect
As usual, the Kimpton was a great experience. The front desk sent balloons and cupcakes for my son's birthday....such a nice touch.

Super hotel on the beach

Cons: Cobalt restaurant food could be hotter. It certainly needs more variety on the menu. It is a little restricted.
Location: On beach, perfect for long walks. Out for breakfast ? Then try Mulligans Quiet location
This is a lovely hotel and more than well worth a stay for any length of time. We booked three nights and wished we had done so for longer. Our room overlooked the beach. The staff are amazing - so helpful and friendly. We didn't have time to use the spa facilities The pool and bar area is clean and tidy. The staff cannot do enough for you. We were unable to access return flight check-in on the PC, so main reception did this for us, which was brilliant and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone, and we'll certainly be going back at some point.

Great location - but don't get an "internal" room

Pros: great location right on the beach, excellent staff and good facilities in a peaceful location. Cons; I We were given an "internal room" - so if you don't book a room and pay extra for some kind of view, you will be in a room with a small window (with window blind) that looks out onto an internal walkway used by other guests. The daily "resort fee" is quoted on Expedia as $24 a day per room - but you have to add tax to this, so why not quote the correct fee in total ?
