This hotel is NOT 4 star property! It’s very basic, lacks basic amenities, primitive breakfast, inconveniently located far from the city centre (we used bus which is affordable but runs whenever the driver wants- the schedule is just a general idea). AC is regulated by the front desk, the thermostat in the room is disabled. I do NOT recommend this hotel.

The hotel was basic but very comfortable
This was an ideal location (10 minutes walk) as I was working at the Jobs Orienta fair at the exhibition centre. The hotel was basic but comfortable, there was no kettle in the room but the receptionist was able to provide this when I asked. The breakfast was good but a big shout out to the staff who were friendly and very helpful, especially the receptionist Shciadey and the waitress Marta.

The best in the city of Verona.
The hotel is located close to public transportation to the main attractions. The hotel is genuinely nice, everything is new and designed very well. The breakfast is excellent. The parking is freestyle. The price is particularly good. Everything is clean. We enjoyed it very much. Highly recommended

The room was very nice and spacious and the bathroom was great. However the air conditioning in our room wasn't working and when we told reception about this they brushed us off and didn't bother to investigate. Also the fridge in our room wasn't cold. When we told reception about this they also did nothing. The rooftop bar was lovely and with very reasonable prices. The hot tub was great, you can easily chill out on the roof terrace for hours. Although the service overall was fine we did have several strange interactions with the staff. For example, the complaints about the room were ignored. Also when we asked how to work the "do not disturb" display system the staff seemed very confused and acted like they had never heard of a "do not disturb" sign. We asked to book a taxi to the airport and asked a member of staff for a taxi fare estimate. They seemed very confused by this question and plucked a random guess from thin air which was actually much lower than what we paid. On another day we ordered pizza from the restaurant across the road and were surprised to find that there were no bins on the roof terrace, in the lobby or our room to put our pizza boxes in. We asked reception if they could find a bin for the pizza boxes and they dismissed us and said that there were bins (the closest bins were a walk down the road). It is a lovely hotel but the service could better. Especially since weren't asking for anything out of the ordinary.

We loved the hotel, the reception staff and bar staff were particularly helpful and attentive. We would have liked a fridge in our room and breakfast tea and coffee as well as the herbal teabags.

Too far away from city
Front desk staff not helpful. Had an unexpected medical procedure and clerk was rude and wouldn’t allow changes to our reservation when we needed to check out early. Charged us for a night we didn’t even use. Would not recommend this hotel. Also too far away from city and activities.

Good hotel 3.5 stars
Hotel is located in a residential area close to highway. Getting to downtown Verona is very easy by car (8-10 min). The hotel is clean. There is a small parking lot next to hotel but plenty of free street parking. We stayed in a room with kind size bed. The room is standard size for Italy. Shower is a square stall. The only problem we had was with wifi. Hotel offered free wifi, but on the third floor there was none (out of range?). We asked the front desk about this issue, and they said they had excellent wifi downstairs so they didn't believe us. If you stay here ask for a room near the elevator to be able to get wifi.

Our main problem was with the local transport. Buses seem to disappear after 8:30. No one in the hotel seemed to accept this. Nor did the tourist office even though the bus timetable had few bus routes with services after 9. The hotel was nice but the breakfast service was poor at he beginning of the stay, produce and dishes were allowed to disappear.

Lovely stay
Great hotel room, we were upgraded on arrival which was a pleasant surprise. Very polite and friendly staff at the hotel, happy to help even late at night. One thing that could be improved is the little bar on the roof. Perhaps a menu and a wider array of cocktails would have been nice. Although we still had a lovely time up there (despite the storm!!)

It would have been good to know how to get there, i.e. A bus to the central station then local bus out to hotel is a lot cheaper than taxi. Local bus services to the Centre of town are good cheap and regular but unsure about night service. Breakfast very nice.

nice warm hotel
when we booked into the hotel we were greeted very nicely and shown our room. after being out for a few hours returning to the hotel only to be told we have been given the wrong room and was made to move. this was a bit of a pain, but all things worked out ok in the end. The only thinks I will say against this Hotel is that there was no information in the room, there was no safe in our second room but was in the first room given. Worst of all I asked for a glass of red wine while sat in the roof garden only to be told that they did not have any!!!!!!!! This hotel is on the bus route to get into the city, you can purchase the bus tickets in the shop just around the corner from the hotel on the other side of the road from the bus stop.

Perfect local for Veronafiere
The hotel is clean and modern. The breakfast in the morning is one of the best breakfasts you'll get for being included with your room. The staff is super nice and I highly recommend the restaurant directly across the street. The part of town around the hotel isn't booming, but it was perfect for going back and forth from VeronFiere several times a day. And there are great shops, including a wine shop and an ice cream shop, that are a 5 minute walk away. I would stay here again for sure.

Definitely a hotel to recommend
The hotel room was large and as with rest of hotel spotless, the staff all very helpful and spoke English, plenty of good food and location was excellent with secure underground car parking. Although not in centre of town buses every few minutes to station and bus interchange. Would recommend it to anyone.

Phantom shuttle bus
Hotel was fine but if you're planning to use the post opera shuttle service I wouldn't chose this hotel. There were two time slots - twenty minutes or an hour after the performance. We chose the twenty minute option and walked straight to the square after the opera where all the shuttle buses were waiting. There were lots of buses but none from Corte Ongaro. So we waited for the bus which was expected an hour after the opera during which time other hotel buses were returning regularly. An hour and quarter later we took a taxi - which, incidentally, was cheaper than the shuttle. The hotel manager flatly refused to reimburse our shuttle fare and claimed the bus had been to the square regularly all evening. Either he wasn't telling the truth or he hadn't been told the truth.

Good hotel, good value for money
The hotel was lovely, the room was quite small for 3 people. My booking stated we were in a room with a balcony, but were given a room without a balcony and no slippers. The spa was nice especially on a hot day. Good undercover parking, location was a bit out of town, needed transport to get into town, but it was quiet. Breakfast was good.

The service and condition of the hotel was excellent. It was however a challenge to find a place to eat at night. The two nearby restauratns where closed, which made us to drive to a pizzeria to get take-aways.

A very nice hotel, with excellent staff. Not as easy to find as it looked on the maps, and not a very high profile locally. Very well placed for the Fair grounds, not so close to central Verona. Good quality furnishings, nice big room, good buffet breakfast. Extremely good value.

I made a great choice!
I took a double-as-a-single (at that lower rate) and was very pleased with all the room that gave me, especially the private balcony. The hotel is thoroughly modern (e.g., the key is a 'swipe' card and lighting is efficient - but ample). Wifi is perfect. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is abundant and complete. The only detriment is the location; one MUST learn to use the buses (not at all difficult, and they run quite frequently) or bear the expense of taxis (7 euros from the train station). I would certainly stay here again.

I would highly recommend this hotel. The only drawback is that is not close to the centre of town. My wife and I could walk the distance in about 30 minutes, just be aware of the cyclists.

A real value with all amenities
It was very good - good breakfast, friendly & helpful service, clean rooms. The building is not completely sound-proof but is generally quiet. Free parking garage is great. Although neighborhood is partly industrial/commercial (it is near the fair area, 1.5 miles from centro storico), I still found some decent streets nearby to go walking and running. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Very good hotel, would def recommend!
Great hotel, not in the city center but I strongly recommend for it's condition and hotel service quality. Better sleep here and make a short trip to busy city centre than trying to fell sleep at noisy streets in the city center. Hotel is in great condition, like new, everything looks lovely and I will return there for sure.

Only 30 min walk to city centre
We stayed at the Hotel Corte Ongaro as it was round the corner from a company we were visiting. Clean hotel with good air con (had to ask desk to switch on each day though ?!), decent sized bedroom/bathroom, free internet access, balcony and a reasonable breakfast. Best feature of hotel was rooftop area with seats and grass with lovely views. I would only stay here if back visiting same company else I would be closer to city centre but it only took 30-35 min to walk in.

Pros: free wifi, balcony, free breakfast, AC, bus across the street, quiet area Cons: terrible breakfast (it's an Italian thing), AC gets turned off by the hotel when they choose (waking up sweating is no fun), bus schedule provided by hotel is inaccurate (though easy to remedy yourself)...major con...the staff was unfriendly. Where's the warm, hospitable Italian staff?? However, saying all this if you get a good price, stay, but head into town to explore.

odd place but less expensive than others in Verona
We did not even get a greeting when we stood at te hotel. Itvseems like the hotel is unfinished somehow. The one lady at the reception was void of any personality. The brekfast was ok... just ok with one person only trying maybe to clean up... dishes everywhere... they seem understaffed. Air conditioning requires that the key is plugged in the wall... but eventually it got cold... just an odd place... hard to explain... if you are American you probably won't like this place.
